| Introduction | I have been in IT and databases since 1976, mostly as a Support Engineer, Software Engineer and Performance consultant for Database vendors. In the 80's I shifted to the Relational paradigm, while maintaining the performance context. In 1987 I started out on my own. Since 1990, I have worked extensively with Sybase, and almost all my customers are banks. I specialise in all aspects of Performance: Integration; Architecture; High Performance Database Design; Sybase ASE Integration with host system; Resource Allocation; Configuration for Database and use; Standards; and faithful implementation of the Relational Model. I respect and hold standards in esteem. Where there are no standards, and as extensions to existing standards, I have standards related to Quality and Performance for every aspect of modern three-tier information systems. We have a set of mature scripts that automate everything related to Sybase administration, that run in several Production sites. |
