About me

Location London
Introduction I'm an artist who cooks a lot of food. I trained, then worked as a chef for 8 years and more recently I studied a full time Fine Art degree at Central Saint Martins. I adore making art, It keeps me alive. I write the fortnightly column Cheat's Dinner Party for Stella in The Sunday Telegraph. It's a three course menu, for 6 people cooked in an hour, for under £35. Yes that's a bloody challenge but with a little ingenuity and keeping it as seasonal as possible, it can be done. Actually for me the main challenge is to inspire someone to get in the kitchen and have fun with food for an hour. Just once in a while. I am the author of four cookery books, the most recent being Potatoes (From Gnocchi to Mash Rylands Peters and Small) and I'm working on another one now. I write recipes for anyone who asks and I also work as a Food Stylist, preparing and cooking food for photography, working with lots of top cooks and chefs for cookery books and magazines. I love art. I love food. I love dancing. I love my friends. I love shoes. I love to travel. I love home. I love my family. I love my mum.
