IntroductionOriginally from Sacramento, Heather Wood is a writer, teacher, and director now based in Dallas, Texas. Heather has taught writing courses at University of New Mexico and currently University of Texas at Dallas, where she’s completing requirements for a PhD. She has collaborated on numerous independent video and theatre productions in Texas and New Mexico. Her portrayal of Donald Rumsfeld’s Mechanic in the short film “Grease Spot,” earned the Jury Prize at the Santa Fe Center for Contemporary Art 3-Minute Film Festival in 2004. Rod Russell-Ides is a talented musician and filmmaker, whose new album "Crazy in Love" was recently released to international acclaim. Rod currently lives in Dallas, Texas, with his wife, the playwright, Isabella Russell-Ides. Together they penned the award winning musical, Nashville Road, produced in Austin by Center Stage. They also created the musical American Avatar, a Richard Rogers finalist in NYC. Rod created the music for The Big Event, another Austin award winner produced by Big State.
