Introduction	Hafa Adai! My name is Dorinda M. Salas and a mother of five beautiful and wonderful children. I am married to a loving and supportive man for seventeen years. They inspired and praised me to continue fulfilling my dreams. I have always wanted to be a “TEACHER” since I was a young girl. I would play “let’s pretend” with my friends and cousins. I played the teacher. Whenever I am asked what I wanted to be when I grow up, I responded, “I want to be a teacher.”
Interests	I’ve gone through hardships and sacrifices to pursue my career in the teaching profession. I lost my mother in September 2003 to lung cancer. Three years later on October 2006, I lost my father. He was a diabetic with heart disease. I was devastated, hurt, and angry at the world that I decided to stay away. Then I met Ms. Sally Sablan not only once, she encouraged me to come back to school and finish. I did. WOW! I made it. Today, I am proud to say that I will be graduating this Spring 2009 (May 23, 2009 @ 4:00pm) along with 26 NMC-SOE students pursuing their Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. I intend to continue my education as I enroll in the master’s program with Framingham. I was offered a job at San Antonio Elementary School to teach 6th grade. I accepted. Thank you, Mrs. K...
