| Introduction | A teacher of English to those who have a first language other than that, I spend my days teaching wonderful students grades 6 to 12. The passion of my work lies in the learning of language, small wonderful moments of aha, exploration of words and meaning, and reading for learning and pleasure. My students keep me young at heart. The classroom stimulates my mind, driving me to constantly search for new and exciting ways to help my students discover language. I live in Arkansas, and beautiful state that is less traveled than many but full of discoveries for those who come. Lakes, hills, trails, small towns, a few cities, and lots of interesting people. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, teacher, friend, and lover of life. |
