| Introduction | As a Peace Corps volunteer in Gao, Mali, I focus on improving the lives of the men, women, and children who have graciously accepted me into their community these three years. My original post, Ansongo, (Known as "Afudu" or "The Camel's Knees" to locals), has left its mark and where ever I work people know from my accent it is there where I learned koyraboro senni (Sonrai).
