Introduction	After a career in graphic design, I took up with paint brushes and a trowel and never looked back. (Well that's not really true, I still create graphics on my laptop). But having studied in Florence and roaming around other parts of europe, I'm partial to replicating the look of very old things by hand. I esp. love lush, rich textiles, italian and french design and any kind of surface that is crumbling or cracked. Broken surfaces, tarnished metals juxtaposed to soft pale marigold petals and silk ribbons are a few of my inspirations.
