ආධාර උපකාර මත පවත්වාගෙන යන රාජ්\u200dය නොවන සංවිධාන පමණක්\u200c නොව මාක්\u200cස්\u200cවාදයෙන් තම සිතීමේ හැකියාව මොට කරගත් සම්ප්\u200dරදායික ගතානුගතික මාක්\u200cස්\u200cවාදී පක්\u200dෂවලට අයත් වූ වන් මේ ගැටලුව ජනවාර්ගික ගැටලුවක්\u200c ලෙස විග්\u200dරහ කර ගනිති. එහෙත් එය ජනවර්ග දෙකක්\u200c අතර ගැටලුවක්\u200c නොවන්නේ බහුතරයක්\u200c දෙමළ ජනයා සිංහලයන් අතර සාමකාමීව ජීවත් වන හෙයිනි. ඇතැම් ක්\u200dරියාමාර්ග අතින් මාක්\u200cස්\u200cවාදීන්ට වඩා වෙනත් ස්\u200cථාවරයක්\u200c දරා ඇති බව එරික්\u200c විසින්ද මේ කෘතියේ සඳහන් කර ඇති රෝහණ විඡේවීර විසින් ගොඩනැඟූ ජනතා විමුක්\u200cති පෙරමුණට අනුව මෙය ජාතික ගැටලුවකි. සිංහල ජාතිකවාදීන්ට අනුව මෙය දෙමළ බෙදුම්වාදී කැරැල්ලකි. එහෙත් එරික්\u200c මේ ගැටලුව දකින්නේ නිජබිම ප්\u200dරශ්නයක්\u200c ලෙසිනි. එරික්\u200cගේ අර්ථ දැක්\u200cවීම අනෙකුත් සියලු විග්\u200dරහයන්ට වඩා පිළිගත හැකි වන්නේ දෙමළ ජාතිවාදීන් හැමවිටම ඒ ප්\u200dරදේශ තම නිජභූමිය ලෙස සිතා කටයුතු කරමින් සිටින නිසා පමණක්\u200c නොවේ. තමන් එය පිළිගන්නා අතරම එය තහවුරු කිරීමට ව්\u200dයාජ ඉතිහාසයක්\u200c නිර්මාණය කරන දෙමළ ජාතිවාදීන් එය තම ම්ලේච්ඡ ආයුධ සන්නද්ධ අරගලය සාධාරණීකරණය කිරීම සඳහාද යොදා ගන්නා නිසාය. 1957 දී අත්සන් කළ බණ්\u200cඩාරනායක චෙල්වනායගම් ගිවිසුමේ සිට 2002 කුප්\u200dරකට රනිල් ප්\u200dරභා ගිවිසුම දක්\u200cවා සෑම අවස්\u200cථාවකදීම දෙමළ ජාතිවාදීන් ඉදිරිපත් කළ මූලිකම කොන්දේසිය වූයේ උතුර නැගෙනහිර ප්\u200dරදේශ තම නිජභූමිය ලෙස පිළිගන්නා ලෙසයි. 1983 තිම්පු සාකච්ඡාවලදීද ඔවුන් රාජ්\u200dයයක්\u200c බවත්, පසුව සිංහල සහ දෙමළ රජවරුන් මෙරට පාලනය කර ඇති බවත් 13 වැනි සියවසින් පසුව මෙරට දෙමළ රාජධානියක්\u200c පැවැති බවත්, පසුව එය පෘතුගීසි ලන්දේසි සහ ඉංග්\u200dරීසි යන බටහිර ජාතීන්ට යටත්වූ බවත් දෙමළ ජාතිවාදීහු පෙන්වා දෙති. 1948 දී ඉංගී්\u200dරසීන් විසින් තම නිජභූමිය පාලනය කිරීම සිංහල අධිරාජ්\u200dයවාදීන්ට භාරදී පිටව ගිය බව පවසන දෙමළ ජාතිවාදීහු එය නැවත දිනා ගැනීම වෙනුවෙන් තමන් සටන් වදින බව පවසති. තම ඊනියා නිජබිම වෙනුවෙන් සටන් කරන දෙමළ ජාතිවාදී බලවේග දෙයාකාරයකට ක්\u200dරියා කරන බව එරික්\u200c මේ කෘතිය මගින් පෙන්වාදී ඇත. ඔහු පවසන පරිදි ආයුධ සන්නද්ධ අරගලයක්\u200c මගින් තම ඊනියා නිජබිම නැවත දිනා ගැනීමට උත්සාහ කළ ප්\u200dරභාකරන්ගේ ක්\u200dරමවේදය එක්\u200c ක්\u200dරමවේදයකි. දෙවැනි ක්\u200dරමවේදය වන්නේ සම්බන්ධන්ලාගේ ක්\u200dරමවේදය වන අතර එය අද ටිකක්\u200c හෙට ගොඩක්\u200c ලබාගැනීමේ අරමුණෙන් ක්\u200dරියාත්මක වන දෙමළ ජාතිවාදී ක්\u200dරමවේදයයි. එරික්\u200c නිවැරැදිව වටහාගෙන ඇති පරිදි මේ සෑම ආකාරයකම දෙමළ ජාතිවාදී ක්\u200dරියාමාර්ගවලට පදනම් වී ඇත්තේ මේ ඊනියා දෙමළ නිජභූමි සංකල්පයයි. එරික්\u200c පවසන දේ එලෙසින්ම පිළිගත නොහැකි වුවත් එක රාජ්\u200dයයකට අයත් භූමි ප්\u200dරදේශයක්\u200c තුළ නිජභූමි දෙකක්\u200c පවතින බව පිළිගතහොත් එහි රටවල් දෙකක්\u200c බිහිවීමට අවශ්\u200dය මෙන්ම කාර්තිගේසු ඉන්ද්\u200dරපාල වැනි දෙමළ විද්වතුන් දෙමළ නිජභූමියක්\u200c පිළිබඳ ප්\u200dරවාද ගොඩනඟමින් වෙනම රාජ්\u200dයයක්\u200c සඳහා ශක්\u200cතිමත් පදනමක්\u200c ගොඩනගමින් සිටිති. මෙරට රාජ්\u200dය විශ්වවිද්\u200dයාලවල මහජන මුදලින් වැටුප් ලබන එමෙන්ම නිදහස්\u200c අධ්\u200dයාපනයේ වරමින් ඉහළට ගිය විද්වතුන් නිහඬව සිටින බව පෙනේ. මහාචාර්ය සෙනරත් පරණවිතාන මහාචාර්ය තෙන්නකෝන් විමලානන්ද සහ මහාචාර්ය විමල විජයසූරිය වැන්නන්ගෙන් පසුව මේ ඊනියා නිජභූමි සංකල්පයේ ව්\u200dයාජත්වය පෙන්වීමට කටයුතු කළ වෘත්තීය උගතුන් අපට නැත. මහාචාර්ය කේ. එම්. ද සිල්වා වැන්නකු තුළ ඇතැම් ලේඛන මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් වැදගත් වුවත් ඔහුට ද අවශ්\u200dය වී ඇත්තේ නැගෙනහිර පළාත තුළ දෙමළ නිජභූමියක්\u200c නොපැවැති බව පෙන්වාදීමට බව පෙනේ. එමෙන්ම ඔහු පවා ඒ පිළිබඳව දිගින් දිගටම ලියා නැත. ඒ අතර මහාචාර්ය ලෙස්\u200cලි ගුණවර්ධන වැන්නන් අතින් මෙන්ම වහන්සේ ඉපදී වාසය කර ඇත්තේ ශ්\u200dරී ලංකාවේය. තිබෙන උරුමය විනාශවී යද්දී නිහඬව ඉන්නා මොවුහු අපැහැදිලි නොපෙනෙන අසංගත රාවණා මිථ්\u200dයාවක්\u200c පසුපස දුවමින් සිටිති. අවාසනාවකට ආචාර්ය නලින් ද සිල්වා සහ
