It would only take less than 30 minutes to prepare and cook everything. This is ideal for those busy weekday nights when you just have to prepare something quick yet filling.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\nInstructions:\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n1. Cook the pasta based on package instructions. I boil them for 13 mins. using induction stove. Set aside the pasta after cooking.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n2. Saute garlic in Dona Elena Olive Oil then add the tuna. I included the tuna oil as well for added flavor.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n3. Add Jolly Mushrooms and cook and saute for a few minutes. Add salt and pepper.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n4. Toss the cooked pasta in the pan and add the pesto pasta sauce. Blend all ingredients together. Make sure that you put just the right amount of pasta based on the quantity of your ingredients.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\nServes 4-5\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\nI am not so sure about the cost of the meal since I got all my ingredients in our cupboard. Php 200 is my guesstimate. Set aside the water where you boiled your chicken breast. You will use this after for the broth.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n3. Cook the Del Monte Elbow Macaroni al dente. I used an induction stove and boiled and timed it for 14 mins. Set aside after cooking. Prepare the vegetables while boiling the macaroni.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n4. In a large pan, heat the oil. Saute the onions, garlic, celery, and carrots until the onions become translucent and the vegetables are tender for about 5 minutes. Add a little salt and pepper.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n5. Add the shredded chicken. Add the boiled chicken water, add the Knorr Chicken Broth cubes, season with some fish sauce, salt, and pepper. Add fish sauce or salt to taste or depending on your preference. Bring to a boil.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n6. Add the cooked Del Monte Elbow Macaroni and Carnation Evaporated Milk and cook for another 2-3 minutes. I chose San Remo pasta linguine since it's thick and can easily counter the strong taste of the pesto.\u003cbr /\u003e\u003cbr /\u003e2. Combine the basil with the pine nuts and pulse a few times in a blender. (If you are using walnuts and they are not chopped, pulse them a few times first before adding the basil.) Add the garlic and pulse a few times more.\u003cbr /\u003e\u003cbr /\u003e3. Slowly add the extra virgin olive oil in a constant stream while the food processor is on. Stop to scrape down the sides of the food processor with a rubber spatula. Add the grated cheese and pulse again until blended. Add a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.\u003cbr /\u003e\u003cbr /\u003eServing Size: 7 to 8\u003cbr /\u003e\u003cbr /\u003eMy Basil Pesto Pasta turned out creamy even if I was opting for the saucy-and-floating-in-olive-oil kind. Its creaminess was brought by the parmesan cheese which was blended together with the other ingredients as opposed to putting it as a topping. I will also be replacing the pine nuts with walnuts next time since I like a lighter taste.\u003cbr /\u003e\u003cbr /\u003eAll the ingredients are fortunately available at SM Supermarket and total cost is around Php 370.00 ($9.00).
