The crayons were easy to match up with the colors on the back of the box, but the colored pencils were really hard. I would have thought I could tell by the smell, but alas, the scents are not very easy to tell apart. The colors did not match up very well with each other. For example the pine crayon color and pine colored pencils did not match up at all. Some of the crayons did not want to color on the paper either such as the cola. To say it was massive was an understatement. It was a like a mini shop set up in the convention center, probably 40-50 feet tall. All the toy companies had massive booths set up. They each contain 8 \"Sweet\" scents and 8 \"Stinky\" scents. The Stinky scents can not be found anywhere else. Some of the stinky scents are really bad like; smoke, dead rose, mud, barn, rotten fruit, and dirty potatoes. Some of them smelled so bad i had to put the cap on right away. Some of the stinky scents are not so bad like: pizza, cheese, grass, garlic, pickle and onion. Once the scents are all on the page they kind of mix together and do not smell as bad.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\nMy kids and I loved using this kit. It comes with funny coloring books and cards. They colored lots of fun things. There is a great color variety in both kits. I had my kids help me make the markers and they loved it.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\nBefore we started we gathered all the supplies in one area to minimize the potential for messes. After that the inner core was lowered with tweesers into the liquid slowly so it would not spill. My kids loved helping. After I made the first marker they knew the steps and were able to do many of the steps with me. The marker maker process taught my kids many important lessons. I looked at a regular marker later and all the components were the same. This was not the case when we used the crayon maker. The crayons are smaller or different shapes than original crayons. The Crayola Silly Scent box is very hard to open. There is a tab on the box which tears easily when trying to open. The also somewhat opens, but I do not think that was the intended purpose for that design. And do not get me started on the 24 count box. It takes a good five minutes just to get the crayons back in the box.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cspan style\u003d\"font-size: x-large;\"\u003e2. Laydown\u003c/span\u003e-\u003cb\u003eCrayola has a slight edge in this category\u003c/b\u003e. The crayon laydown is very nice and much like their other crayon products. But I must confess that once more than one scent was put down on both papers the scents became a little jumbled.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\nOverall Mr. Sketch won the best crayon in the Mr. Sketch versus Crayola Silly Scents, but by a narrow margin. I would buy either one and your kids would love them. Why? The laydown was great, the colors were amazing, the box design was simple and the most important reason the smells were very distinct. I could smell every smell as it hit the paper. Whatever Crayola did with those crayons they need to do again.
