It ran until 1918 and then was brought back in 1930 and survived until 1978. Crayola had many different product lines during their beginnings as a company. The Crayolet's are the best in their class? But was was their class? At this time of this box production 1941 Crayola had 9-10 other types of crayon boxes out there also; Besco, Durel, \"Perma\", Spectra Pastel, Gold Medal and lots more \"drawing crayons\". What struck me about the box was how pretty the crayons were.\u003cspan\u003e\u0026nbsp; The Spectra box was a special box with Gold Medal crayons for every day use as seen on the back of the box made in the pastel colors. I was super lucky to get my hands on this box. It is one of my oldest boxes. Crayola first introduced the Spectra line in 1905. There was another box version in 1910 when it was changed to No. 15. This is the 1915 box design. On the back it says, \"This Special Brightest Collection gives you 24 of the brightest Crayola crayons together in one box.\" I do not know how they decided a crayon was bright, but there it is. 4 new colors, vivid violet, pink flamingo, caribbean green and sunset orange were introduced in this box and have New Color on their wrapper with streaks around the new color.
