turned out blurry. My daughter never sits still for a photo anymore so it's a struggle. Instead, I created a small video for my Youtube channel which I fell in love with. I wished I would have captured more clips for that video nonetheless it still turned out into such a sweet video and Lucy is obsessed with it. It's been so sweet watching these girls grow especially now seeing them together at this age. I love choosing a color/style theme for my tree and presents. I went with a very pinky style again with pops of gold. I also decided to use yarn to create a bow for the gifts and I was obsessed with the look. When I was a kid my mom used to always wrap Santa's gifts for me and my sister in a completely different wrapping paper from all the rest of the gifts. This is something I loved and started doing with Lucy last year. I would like to try to have the gifts from Santa with Santa wrapping paper and so far these last two years I've managed to do this. Another thing I did with her last year was when she was a newborn, and this is something I always did with our dogs. Clearly, we have to do it with all three of them now. This was something we really wanted to do with Lucy but weren't sure if we'd just do a walk-by in a neighborhood or an actual light show. I'm really glad we visited this one so close to our home. It was so lovely! Lucy really enjoyed herself and watched the entire show while sitting on her knees haha. It was really special seeing how amazed Lucy was throughout the whole show. We all couldn't help but dance to the fun Christmas music. It was such a fun Christmas this year since Lucy was a little older and so much more aware of everything. Time is going by way too quickly and we're less than a week away from twenty-twenty one! This year's Christmas was by far the best Christmas thus far for Rudy and me. This was Lucy's very first Christmas and it was so magical. Since this was a special Christmas I began snapping photos on Christmas Eve until Christmas night, and I can't wait to share them all with you guys.\u003c/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWe spent the holiday at home and it was so relaxing. On Christmas eve we all hung out at home watching holiday movies. Some of our favorites are; The Santa Clause 1-3, Elf, The Grinch with Jim Carrey, Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Home Alone 1\u0026amp;2, and finally Noelle (such an underrated film!).\u003c/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWe then gathered all the kids, Juicy, Bowie, and Lucy in front of the tree to take photos of the three. I would do this with Juicy and Bowie every year and I can't wait to continue this with Lucy.\u003c/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn the evening Rudy and I made a hand and footprint ornament of Lucy since this is her first Christmas and all and it turned out so cute. I can't wait to have this sweet little ornament hanging on our tree for many years to come. Right after it was bath time for Lucy and we ended the night with Rudy reading \u003ci\u003eThe Night Before Christmas\u003c/i\u003e to Lucy. I'm hoping this will be a little tradition of theirs.\u003c/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eChristmas morning started a little early. I fed Lucy and once she went down for her first nap I started on a tradition of mine, making french toast for Rudy and me for breakfast.\u003c/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFinally, once Lucy woke from her nap it was time to open gifts. She's normally only up for an hour before she taps out and is ready for her next nap so she wasn't really feeling the gift opening. Before even getting halfway through gifts she was out like a light and Rudy moved her to her crib haha.\u003c/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e85% of the gifts under the tree was for Lucy and since she was such a good girl this year Santa brought her tons of goodies like a new Cuddle and Kind doll Zara the unicorn, The Nutcracker book, a bouncer, some vans to match her mama, and her favorite binky.\u003c/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn the afternoon Lucy received a special visit and finally met her uncle, aunt, and cousin from Rudy's side. It was so sweet seeing the two together and we even put on Lucy's Grinch sweater to take a photo of the two matchings since he too had a Grinch sweater.\u003c/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eLastly, we ended the night once again by reading a book to Lucy, this time it was my turn and she slept so soundly.\u0026nbsp;\u003c/p\u003e\u003cdiv class\u003d\"separator\" style\u003d\"clear: both; Sunday morning, we finally went to one over in Los Gatos. This farm had two areas of Christmas trees that were only minutes away from one another. It was so beautiful being surrounded by endless trees from all sorts of sizes. It was a chilly morning, we had the entire lot to ourselves, walked around for over an hour and enjoyed our surroundings. Even though I'm a fake Christmas tree kind of gal, I loved looking at these real trees. I would love to make this a tradition of ours to visit Christmas tree farms like this in the future. Maybe next year if we can plan ahead we can go to one and even take some Christmas card worthy photos. This isn't necessarily a tradition of ours, and we purchased a gingerbread house kit spontaneously. The last time we even built one was back in 2016, so three years ago! This year for whatever reason Rudy and I have been in the Holiday spirit since November began, and we want to try and squeeze in as many festive activities as we possibly can until Christmas. A few weeks back we picked up a gingerbread house kit and we finally had time to build it a couple of weeks ago. Today I'm so pleased to finally share some of the photos we took of each other and the house during the process. They had quite a few different houses to choose from that ranged from traditional gingerbread houses, chocolate cookie house kit, mini villages, footed PJs, ugly sweaters, and I even saw a Grinch themed one which I now wish I also picked up. He usually takes over while I help him out here and there. This year I did a lot of the decorating and even though it gets kind of stressful because I'm not the best at the icing part, it was so much fun to do. We each took turns on the decorating, and I'm surprised at how good Rudy is at decorating with the icing. I try to have more of a theme going on and I wanted to try and stick with more of the reds and whites for this house. It was a bit of a challenge since the candies that were provided in this kit filled with rainbow colors. It was so exciting the closer we got to completing the house and getting to see how the decorating was coming together. I also added a cute mistletoe to the top of the front door. It was a bit of a struggle since the candy was a little heavy for the frosting to hold and I didn't think it was going to work out. Since they were just the right size I decided to put them with our completed Gingerbread House. Today I'm going to be sharing very anticipated DIY Christmas ornaments! I have been looking forward to doing this DIY post since last December. I thought up this idea at the end of the month so unfortunately, it was too late to try and create it. So, I had this post saved under my drafts list for nearly a year just waiting until this holiday season.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\nNot going to lie, as soon as November hit it was Christmas in our house. This year Rudy and I want to enjoy Christmas for as long as we possibly can. We have lots planned that I'm hoping we'll be able to accomplish. As I said, I've wanted to DIY my own ornaments and I really wanted to do a mix of gold glitter and flowers. This was a lot of fun and extremely easy to do, especially the ones I added flowers to. I started off by very gently folding the flower petals without making any creases and sliding them into the ornaments. I used different color rose petals and afterward, I added some glitter and gold stars to this ornament which you will see a better picture of it down below. I think it gave the ornament that little extra magic it was lacking. I really loved how this one turned out, I only wished I had more of the flower to fill up the ornament to the very top. I knew I wanted to make some with the gold glitter I got and for the first one, I filled it up with the glitter and shook it around. Most of the glitter stuck to the inside of the ornament and it turned out to be such a simple and pretty gold glitter ornament. It turned into a clear ornament with gold glitter polka dots.
