I was so over the rain we kept having and was itching for warm sunny days. The weather on Easter Sunday was excellent as the beautiful day was specifically for the Holiday. It was perfect, to say the least especially after spending the entire day before traveling off and on an airplane coming back home from our trip. Rudy and I wanted to take advantage of the lovely weather and spend a couple of hours outside. We ended up having the same idea as many other people and headed to the garden. I'm happy to finally share this shop on my blog. I was very excited to visit B2, and the day we stopped by it was pouring non-stop in the morning. It was nice to get inside, dry off, and warm up to some coffee. Rudy and I both ordered their vanilla latté and it was super delish! They have a large area filled with tables and chair for you to lounge or work at. Then towards the back area another lounge area with seats and couches. In the back, they also have a bar which is stunning along with the most remarkable art pieces hanging right behind it! Very vintage. Although it was a bit too early to order some alcoholic beverage, I would love to come back some other time and maybe enjoy a fruity drink and I'm not much of a drinker. If I didn't find this coffee shop on Yelp I don't think I would have ever noticed it. By looking it at a glance I would think this was some business location until you read the sign. I already had plans on ordering their\u0026nbsp;Nutella latté which sounded heavenly. I was hoping Rudy would have ordered their\u0026nbsp;Spanish latté but instead, we both ended up ordering the same drink. The staff was also great! Super helpful with sharing some of their favorite drinks. Good service is one of the things that always makes me come back to places!\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\nI had all the intentions to snap photos from the inside especially from seeing so many cute pictures on their Yelp but this morning the shop was super busy. We got lucky to have taken the last two seats on their bar against the window. The magical tradition first started up in the 1950s by Don Lima who wanted to bring the Holiday spirit to the community. As the years went by he started adding more to displays along with making them even bigger as the crowds grew. It has been an annual tradition for so many families to visit and since moving back to the Bay Area I told myself I would attend as many traditional events as I possibly can. I never want to miss out on anything in my city or take anything for granted again.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003ca name\u003d'more'\u003e\u003c/a\u003e\u003cbr /\u003e\nThe park is filled with tons of decorated Christmas\u0026nbsp;trees from schools all around the Bay Area and some from local companies in which have donated to the event. You can grab yourself some snacks or the famous hot chocolate everyone raves about to enjoy during your walk. As you visit Christmas in the Park, you will find the park transformed into Santa Claus' village from the North Pole. There are tons of little Elves hard at work, others messing around, a stunning whimsical Nutcracker display and a sweet Gingerbread family. Rudy and I have only ever gone to Christmas in the Park once together back in 2013 and it was something we always wanted to do again. I have lived about fifteen minutes from this place my whole life and I never been to it, although Rudy had visited before. We've always talked about making a day to go but to be quite honest I'm not sure what took us this long. Spontaneously one day Rudy suggested we go take the tour and I'm so glad he did since the weather was great and the mansion wasn't packed.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003ca name\u003d'more'\u003e\u003c/a\u003e\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cdiv class\u003d\"separator\" style\u003d\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"\u003e\nHere's a brief background to this haunted mansion. Sarah Winchester was the widow of William Wirt Winchester, the treasurer of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. In 1884 Sarah purchased an unfinished farmhouse in Santa Clara Valley and quickly began building the mansion we now know as the Winchester Mystery House located in San Jose, California. This mansion is called a 'mystery house' because of the unusual structure including\u0026nbsp;doors and staircases that go nowhere, and windows that overlooked into other rooms. The house is filled with so many things that just don't make sense, to us. Sarah designed these absurd creations because of her belief in ghosts. She believed that her family and fortune was haunted by the ghosts that were killed with the Winchester rifles. Sarah Winchester hired people to work around the clock to build rooms to confuse some spirits along with other rooms as a tribute to those victims until it eventually became a seven-story mansion. She continued to have rooms built and rebuilt in the house nonstop up until her death on September 5, 1922.\u0026nbsp;\u003c/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class\u003d\"separator\" style\u003d\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\u003c/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class\u003d\"separator\" style\u003d\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"\u003e\nThe mansion is now privately owned by Winchester Investments LLC and serves as a tourist attraction. It is a designated California historical landmark and is listed as number \u003ci\u003e110\u003c/i\u003e on the National Register of Historic Places.\u003c/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class\u003d\"separator\" style\u003d\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\u003c/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class\u003d\"separator\" style\u003d\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"\u003e\nRudy and I took their basic tour but they do offer an extended version where they show you a lot more of the mansion and rooms Mrs. Winchester created. Unfortunately, you aren't allowed to take any photos inside the mansion during your tour. I believe our tour guide said something about the Winchester \u003ci\u003efilm\u003c/i\u003e bought all the rights to photos.
