and I are planning on setting up the bedroom for baby girl Zambrano. As I've mentioned previously, she isn't going to have her own room, and for now, she will be in the bedroom with us. We have a section in our bedroom that is going to be dedicated to her and we plan on adding some detail pieces on the wall just for her.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\nI never had any ideas as to how I wanted to decorate a nursery for her or in general. All I knew was that I wanted to keep it pretty calm, simple, neutral, with a girly touch. Over the last couple of months, I have been saving ideas from mamas on Instagram and I created an inspiration board on Pinterest with nursery decor that is similar to the style I'm aiming for. I'm not exactly sure what you'd call this style or vibe so you tell me what you'd consider it to be.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\nLittle by little, Rudy and I have been picking things up for the day that we'll begin decorating the room. Above I have a vision board filled with inspiring photo ideas of how I would like to decorate the \"\u003ci\u003enursery\u003c/i\u003e\" for our baby girl. I can't wait until we get started, and I 'm anxious to see what the end result will be!\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\nA few main pieces that I'm thinking of including in the room are:\u003cbr /\u003e\n-A bookshelf\u003cbr /\u003e\n-Shelves with decor pieces such as; a toy, a doll, framed ultrasound, plant, baby shoes\u003cbr /\u003e\n-A rug\u003cbr /\u003e\n-Possibly a mirror or two\u003cbr /\u003e\n-Handmade art piece(s) to hang on the wall\u003cbr /\u003e\n-A personalized item with her name\u003cbr /\u003e\n-A special knit doll\u003cbr /\u003e\n-Crib mobile/canopy\u003cbr /\u003e\n-Wall hook\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\nI hope once we begin the decorating I will record the process so that I can share it with everyone along with the final room tour reveal. I have been obsessed with looking at the home decor in stores and online checking for things I might like to add to our place. Pinterest has been my main go-to for inspiration and decor/style ideas. I'm not sure if I have mentioned it but I feel that so far the kitchen and bathroom are the two rooms that I consider to be done. I'm not sure yet when I plan on sharing them on my blog, but I was thinking of possibly doing a what's in my bathroom kind of post and share the products I keep in there. Let me know!\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\nAnywho, the next room I want to try and tackle is the living room. That room is full of potential I can't wait to get in there and start decorating and putting things together. This room is one that I have had a clear vision of what I want it to look like. Since I haven't begun furnishing the room because Rudy and I have been so busy with life, I thought it would be fun to share an idea of what I have planned for it.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n1. One of that main thing I want to add to the living room is a large \u003ci\u003eround gold mirror\u003c/i\u003e. Target carries the most perfect one for a good price and I've been eyeing it for months! I can already see this mirror going perfectly overtop of our fireplace!\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n2. There were so many different couches I had my eye on. I despise sectional couches, but when I came across this couch I loved how simple the style was. The main thing I loved about this specific \u003ci\u003ecouch\u003c/i\u003e is that it's a reversible sectional and can switch the chaise from left or right. It's a retro mid-century style and I love that it comes in grey because it's our color of choice for a couch.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n3. Greenery! I want to fill the entire place with a bunch of \u003ci\u003eplants\u003c/i\u003e! One specifically is these bird of paradise plant. I would like to have a mixture of different heights; tall and short plants. These are beautiful and continue to grow plus I've heard these are easy to keep alive.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n4. Using \u003ci\u003epillows\u003c/i\u003e as accessories are one of my favorite ways to style a room. I do this all the time in my bedroom and now to be able to expand to the living room will be fun. I've been between using my blush fluffy pillows in this room or my newest mustard velvet pillows. I will have to see how the end result will look before making any decisions. Maybe I'll even use both haha.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n5. I'm not a fan of\u0026nbsp;\u003ci\u003erugs\u003c/i\u003e or carpet whatsoever but I think by adding one to this space will make it feel a bit cozier. This is probably one of the last additions I would introduce to the room to really decide whether it would be something I'd like to have. Just the idea of having a light colored rug would pair perfectly with our grey wood floors.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n6. No matter what the weather may be I enjoy having some sort of throw blanket next to me. It's probably a comfort thing. I already have the perfect \u003ci\u003eblush blanket\u003c/i\u003e that would look very nice thrown over the arm of the couch messily. The contrast between the pink and the couch would look great.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n7. Adding this stunning \u003ci\u003egold\u003c/i\u003e\u0026nbsp;\u003ci\u003elamp\u003c/i\u003e would probably be more as a decor piece. We may end up using it as a soft light while watching a late night movie, definitely more of a late evening or night time use. Our living room already has a lot of ceiling lights. The pop of gold and cream will make a lovely statement and it's too stunning not to include.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n8. I adore \u003ci\u003ecactus\u003c/i\u003e and \u003ci\u003esucculents\u003c/i\u003e not just because they're very low maintenance\u0026nbsp;plants but because they come in different shapes, sizes, and colors. They're perfect plants to use as small decor pieces like on a coffee table or stand. A cute simple accessory piece that also adds a lot of texture to the area.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n9. This is one piece of furniture I keep going back and forth on, a coffee table. I haven't completely decided on what kind I would like to have but I have really been leaning towards this \u003ci\u003emarble top coffee table\u003c/i\u003e. I feel the marbled surface would be a great contrast to the rest of the decor.\u003cbr /\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\nThere is so much more that I will eventually include such as coffee table books, candles, lots of fresh florals, and framed photos. I want to keep it fresh, clean, airy, and somewhat simple. It's still so surreal to me that I am engaged. I have dreamt about Rudy proposing to me for what feels like forever. When he finally did I couldn't believe it and clearly, I still can't. I can not wait to marry him and spend the rest of my life as his wife and him as my husband. Ahh, that gives me butterflies and makes me so giddy just to think about. As soon as we got engaged I became addicted to Pinterest! That place is the motherload of inspirations and my favorite site for it. Like I said recently I became inspired all over again to look at ideas for what I would like mine and Rudy's wedding to look like. I think this may have to do with the new Wedding book my friend gifted me.
