fly by and I can't believe Halloween is in a few days! This isn't Lucy's first Halloween but it kind of feels like her first since she is older and so much more aware of things. Last year around this time she was only a few days shy of turning three weeks and all she wanted to do was sleep. Every time we go out to stores and pass by the Halloween decor section Lucy gets so excited. When we go on walks down our neighborhood and pass by the houses that are all decorated I tell her to wave hi/bye to Halloween, and she does so eagerly.\u0026nbsp;\u003cp\u003eRudy and I normally don't do much on Halloween. Our plans have been the same for quite a few years; dinner, a scary movie, and some treats. It'll most likely remain the same this year once Lucy goes down for the night. We'll probably stay in with Lucy put her in her costume and hang out. Since last year we didn't bother dressing Lucy up for Halloween we wanted to make sure we dressed her up this year in a simple homemade costume. It was hard trying to decide on the perfect costume for her but I then realized a bunny would be the perfect costume since I already had a pink tutu for her that she wore for her \u003ca href\u003d\"http://www.ohhjuliana.com/2021/10/lucys-one-year-photos.html\" target\u003d\"_blank\"\u003eone-year photos\u003c/a\u003e and she even wore it for a bit during her \u003ca href\u003d\"http://www.ohhjuliana.com/2021/10/lucys-1st-birthday-party.html\" target\u003d\"_blank\"\u003ebirthday party\u003c/a\u003e. All I had to purchase was some bunny ears. I wanted to make her costume a bit more special than just having her wear traditional bunny ears on a headband. I purchased a precious bonnet with the cutest ears and it looked absolutely perfect on her!\u0026nbsp;\u003c/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eLast weekend we did a mini photoshoot with Lucy in our front yard to celebrate, any excuse really to get her in her costume. I laid down a blanket and put pumpkins all around her and the photos turned out so precious I cannot deal. This was the first time we decided to paint the pumpkins we bought, and it was such a fun and creative way to put the pumpkins we bought to use. It also makes displaying them more festive. My color palette was super colorful with pink, red, sky blue, white and black for details. You can't forget the most important supply; a variety of pumpkins! My first pumpkin which happens to also be the largest, I planned on painting it completely pink and adding red details throughout the pumpkin. Actually, I think a lot of my pumpkins were inspired by her, she's amazing! She created pumpkins that were shared on Think.Make.Share's IG! It turned out very cute if I do say so myself. However, this is the end result of all our pumpkins which I am so proud of. Left, I'm not exactly sure what he was going for here and to be honest it looks like the striped pumpkin I created but he mixed some of our paints to try and create a purple shade. Anyway, when I look at it I kind of get a circus vibe from it. Right, is his favorite and the one he took the most time with his\u0026nbsp;pumpkin which happens to be a Pirate. He even has a patched eye and everything! I mixed up paint to create a gray shade and then once it was fully dried I began drawing up a whole bunch of variety of eyes. Some with X's some with an upside-down cross, and others that kind of resembled a cat-eye. Originally I have completely different plans for this guy. I had it painted white and wanted to draw some a vampire's mouth. Clearly, I went a whole other direction and I'm happy I did. It turned out so cute and I'm loving all the pink and reds! Once again I painted this cutie in a couple of layers of pink then drew out different sizes of ghosts going in different directions. Painted a few red and the others white, and then I gave them little faces. For now, your just going to start placing them on the hat making a guide to what you'd like it to look like. Play around with it, it doesn't have to look perfect either. Hot glue can get very messy so just try to work in small areas at a time. Once you apply the glue you can move the flower around and pretty much shape it in the form you want it to stay.
