/>

On Saturday I had an appointment to get tattoo number forty-six! (I think...) It's been a while since I got my last piece which was back in December, in other words, I was overdue for one. I knew exactly what I wanted to get next for some time now but I had to wait until my tattoo artist, Chelsey, had an available spot for me. She is an amazing artist that I have mentioned multiple times on my blog and she gets booked super quick. In the last week of July I was able to snag an appointment with her, and I was so excited to get this done! Chelsey and I have a lot of things in common. We are both big Disney, Star Wars and Harry Potter fans which only seemed fitting that I would have her do any tattoos related to those. I think she is an expert in that department and she did do a phenomenal job on my Alice in Wonderland teacup and my Stormtrooper piece. People are always staring at my stormtrooper and pointing to it while I am at Disneyland. Everyone loves that piece including cast members. I knew she was the perfect person to do this next piece (and all future pieces) on me.

I already have a Harry Potter tattoo which is a Deathly Hallows sign on the side of my boob, still, I wanted to get another. Luna Lovegood was the perfect edition to add to my tattoo collection because she is my absolute favorite character. Luna isn't just cute and quirky but is very smart, brave and open-minded. She looks at things in different ways and isn't afraid of being different. Why is it that people are labeled as weird just because they aren't the same as everyone else? Luna is unique and just as 'sane' as everyone else. I decided I wanted to get her signature Spectrespecs with a similar phrase to her iconic quote "You're just as sane as I am" below it. I decided on this quote because one is my favorite, and secondly, the meaning I see from this quote is that no matter who you are or how much better people may think they are compared to others at the end of the day everyone is the same. No better, no less "you're just the same as I". That being said I got "Don't worry you're just the same as I". I still wanted it to be similar to her quote but a little different. Like Luna's quote I can see her saying don't worry you're not crazy you're just like me, regardless of her appearance or what people thought of her. So for everyone that had felt the need to tell me this isn't her "original" quote or its wrong, I know that wasn't what I wanted and now you know why I got it this way.

I decided I wanted to get this piece on my right arm. I swear by this stuff and I've briefly mentioned it on a past tattoo series post of mine along with the tattoo video I did on youtube over a year ago. It's been almost two months since I posted part 5 and I don't know why it's taken me this long to make this final post. This post is going to consist of tattoos that have been done by Chelsey the newest tattoo artist I have been going to for my work.

First I want to start off by sharing how I came to find her. I love Disney you all know this by now, I love seeing all kinds of Disney tattoos since I have a few myself. One of my good friends Sami had tagged me on a photo of a Disney tattoo Chelsey had done which I believe was of the mermaids from Peter Pan. I instantly fell in love with that piece and began browsing through her page. I noticed she had done tons of Disney tattoos, faceless ones being a popular one. She is a huge Disney fan and I loved that she clearly knew exactly what she was doing. She was so good at it too! Another major thing I noticed of her art that I loved was that she added dots "glitter" to her work which really pieces the whole tattoo together. It was something I hadn't seen any other artist do and I immediately knew I wanted/needed to get a tattoo by her. A Disney tattoo!

I began to brainstorm ideas of what I wanted to get done by Chelsey before I decided to message her. I kept thinking about something Alice but I already have an Alice tattoo and didn't want to get another one. I was highly considering the redhead mermaid from Peter Pan since she is my favorite lol but chose not to. I stumbled across this photo above on Tumblr and fell in love with this tattoo of the teacup and flowers inside of it. It reminded me so much of the teacup from Mad Tea Party ride in Disneyland and that so happens to be my favorite teacup. I'm not sure if that was what they were going for in this photo for the tattoo but I thought would be a great idea and perfect for Chelsey to do on me! They both were with teacup but one had more flowers than the other. I went with the one with more flowers of course and then she has me choose colors. You can really tell she knows exactly what she is doing because when she asked me to choose colors she had me choose colors on the opposite side of the color wheel so that everything can complement each other so well. I have never had a tattoo artist do this and I was very pleased with her already. What I loved most of her besides the fact that she really knew what she was doing is that she gave me her honest input on things and I appreciate that from a tattoo artist. She did change the teacup just a tiny bit, the original teacup heart has gold but she asked if we could skip that and I was ok with it because I knew she would make it look the best she can. Of course, once she was done I was blown away and I am still so obsessed with this piece to this day. It is one of my favorite tattoos I have had done and I got it on my right calf. The colors look amazing and still do today. I love how detailed she is and I especially love how the dots came out on this tattoo. It is more than perfect my Disneyland teacup with wildflowers inside and I'm excited about warm weather so I can show it off again. This spot was a bit tender and I remember it felt like it burned. I had been wanting to add something to the front of my thigh for a while but never committed to getting anything done. I also had a few ideas but nothing every stuck. I love fawns I think they are so pretty and whimsical. I love the mixture of human and fawn/deer. Every year for Halloween it is a favorite look of mine to create. I told Chelsey about my idea and she was on board. When I saw her final sketch on this piece I was so excited to get started. It was everything I had envisioned and wanted, she brought it to life so perfectly. It took just about five hours or maybe more for her to complete this piece, keep in mind this is huge! We also did it all in one sitting!!! I don't know how I did it but I did, I also used my trusty Hush gel for this. If it wasn't for that I know I wouldn't have stuck it through. It was only towards the end when the numbing wore off that the pain really hit me but honestly it was all worth it. I was so happy to have got it done all at once since I didn't have to wait any longer for her to be all done. I love how Chelsey added a septum piercing to her. I think it made my little fawn look so cool and look at her hair. It's ombré!!!!! A lot of people went crazy over haha. I get tons of compliments on this piece as well I mean how can I not? She added flowers around her which I think just completed her. She added roses, baby's breath, and daisies. Rudy is a huge Star Wars fan and I know he had been wanting to get a lightsaber tattoo for a while. I thought why not get somewhat matching ones since I was becoming really obsessed with the series. Of course, I had to have Chelsey do them since she is also a huge Star Wars fan, I knew she would know exactly what she was doing when it came to it. Rudy decided to do his red for the dark side and I wanted to throw a little unique touch to mine and have it be peach, of course, haha. Rudy got his on the side of his hand while I got mine on the inside of my finger. This spot was very tender and pretty painful! Luckily its a small piece so it didn't last too long. With it being a finger tattoo and the peach saber being so light in color I knew I would have to have it touched up a few times until the color really stuck. One really cool thing, Chelsey added glitter to my saber too! During this session, Rudy and I had also got touch-ups on our sabers. The Stormtroopers from Star Wars is one of my favorite characters. They are baé! I had been wanting to get them tattooed for a few months but didn't know how I wanted to do it. I had this pin that says Star Wars on it with a few roses in the back with a white background and that was what I really love about it. I don't know how I put the two together but since the Stormtrooper is while like the background of the pin I thought it would be really cool to have tons of flowers on the "helmet" of the troop. When I texted Chelsey about my idea she was excited about it like I was and when she showed me the sketch when I arrived for my appointment I was even more excited yet again. I decided I wanted to get him on my chin. I thought this spot was going to be very painful since every time I get hit on my chin it's painful so to be safe I went ahead and used my Hush gel once again. How cool does this tattoo look??? I love the colors, the flowers, and glitter everything! It looks so pretty. I especially love how it kinda reminds me of the galaxy on the top left of the helmet. Once I posted a photo of this piece on IG people were going crazy and loved it. It is something so different and nothing I had ever seen anyone before me get this. I am so happy I had Chelsey do this for me because like I've said before she really knows exactly what she is doing and Star Wars and Disney is what she knows so much about! On the inner side of my finger, I have a Q with a heart just below it. This is a matching tattoo that Rudy and I got. On the same exact finger, Rudy had a K with a heart below it. This tattoo I have seen a few people before I get this and many people after me. I seen a photo of this on a couple on Pinterest one day and thought it was such a cute, fun, and meaningful tattoo for Rudy and me to get. He is the King to my heart as I am the Queen of his. I got 'Love with no regret' and this is a very meaningful tattoo. Being young so many of us go through heartbreaks, it happens and that's kind of part of life. I've definitely have gone through my fair share of heartaches and heartbreaks. At times I even wished I had never met some of those boys. Once I got with Rudy I realized how much I had changed from past relationships. I had caught myself not doing so many of the horrible things I would normally do in a bad relationship and breaking the habit along with doing a lot of things that used to be very difficult for me to do. I honestly believe that when you are with the one you are truly meant to be with you are all for making a change. I am 100% a better person since I got with Rudy, I wanted to change to be the best I could be for him and also myself. I got this tattoo because if I had not met those guys and gone through all those heartbreaks I probably wouldn't be where I am and who I am today. They made me become such a better girlfriend (Faincé) to Rudy and now I couldn't be happier or thankful for that. (I kind of thank them in a weird way.) I originally wanted to get it on my foot where I now have my crown so I decided one day I eventually will. I even was debating on getting it alongside my arm straight down close to my elbow but never committed to it. Along with wanting a key tattoo I had also been wanting a Friday the 13th tattoo for a while. I had seen on Pinterest a girl with a key tattoo that had the number 13 and thought it was the perfect idea for my Friday the 13th tattoo. Finally on Friday, June 13, 2014, I got my key tattoo. I decided to get it on the side of my rib and was nervous since I heard rib cages are a very painful spot. This was not the case for me. This tattoo hurt a bit but I was expecting a lot more pain. I would rate this piece a 4-5. I think maybe because this piece wasn't so big or because I worked myself up thinking it was going to be extremely painful that it ended up being tolerable. It's going on two years since I have gotten this so I definitely need to get it touched up soon. I am happy with how it turned out and I especially like this placement. I decided on roses cause why not I'm obsessed with them and they are so pretty. I got this piece done in two sessions. In the first session, I was getting the outline done and I went in trying to be brave. This was pretty damn painful to be completely honest. At times I didn't think I was going to be able to let Jason finish it but I'm not a complainer while I'm getting a tattoo. I like to keep quiet because that just means I'm one step closer to having it finished. I'd rate this spot about a 7-8. I knew that for the second session I was going to need something to help me deal with the pain and this was when I had ordered the Hush gel. I had just ordered it when I was getting the outline done so I knew it wasn't going to arrive on time. I figured I can do that session without it to see how bad the pain is since it was only an outline and if I need the gel for the next session I would already have it in my hands. Clearly, I used it for my second session and it seriously helped. I'm not going too much into this product maybe I can make a separate post talking all about it. It is so beautiful and the color is just perfect. I was nervous going into this appointment since I remember my crown being so unbearable. I'm not sure if my pain tolerance had gone up or what but while I got the rose done it wasn't anywhere near as painful as I remember getting my crown. Rudy and I had just gotten home from our birthday trip to Disneyland and I had an appointment to get another tattoo haha. I had really been wanting to get my legs tattooed, Rudy wasn't really for the idea at the time. There's something about leg and thigh tattoos that I just love. There isn't much meaning to this piece besides the fact that I love supernatural things. Crystal balls and Ouija's really intrigue me like all things spooky as witches, ghosts, vampires, Halloween stuff. The idea of being able to talk or contact ghost are kind of cool to me but I'm not saying I would ever try myself since I'd be way too scared haha. Like most of my tattoos I really like how this one turned out. It was exactly what I had envisioned when I was explaining to Jason what I wanted. The colors are on point as well! I don't remember this spot being very painful besides the awkward position I had to keep my leg in. Since it is on the very side of my leg above the ankle and my knee was so very sore because of it and my ankle became very swollen too it was insane haha. (I started with outlines a lot on my sleeve before I got them colored in.) I knew that I really wanted my arm to be very colorful, fresh and floral. I wanted something kind of like a garden and gardens are filled with butterflies flying around. I like butterflies and I remember when I was a kid I was always outside in my parent's backyard in the Spring/Summertime playing with my sister and constantly seeing butterflies everywhere. I thought it would have been a wonderful addition to my sleeve because I love roses. I had him change things up a bit, and of course, I messaged the girl for permission to use her art as a reference for my tattoo and she was so sweet about it and approved. Once I finally got it colored months later it looked beautiful and finally complete. I like how this rose has an eye inside of it. I like to look at it and remind myself to always keep my eyes open with my surroundings. It's a constant reminder that has helped me out a lot in some cases. The pain tolerance wasn't bad at all. It works wonders and highly recommend it!! I always use this stuff on sensitive areas. This guys (Tony) also did another tattoo that same day that I will get into in a future post.

A couple months later I went to Disneyland and showed Alice my rose tattoo and loved it. She mentioned to me that I should get the rosebud, she said that one is her favorite because she thinks Alice is pretty. Right there I knew I wanted to get that next and so I did! I went back home and had Jason add the little rosebud right by my red rose and she is such a cutie. Then on my next trip to Disneyland I showed Alice (I always see the same Alice so this one already knows who I am.) I had pointed out how when she saw the red rose she mentioned I should get the rose but and she remembered and absolutely loved it. It's always the cutest to see her reactions every time she sees me. She'll even grab me to go show the Mad Hatter all tattoos, she always remembers them. Then the Mad Hatter always asks me where is he on my arm... Uh oh haha.

This is probably the longest part of my tattoo collection series. I still have a few small blank pieces to my arm and I don't know if it'll always stay that way or if I will eventually fill it up. Only time will tell and as of right now I don't have any plans... Yet ;)

Xo
Juliana

{"$t":"Juliana
$t":"https://www.blogger.com/profile/09410637408830790715
$t":"noreply@blogger.com"},"gd$image":
//blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinw98N1LY4v8SvYbQE7_w8QZkoJjgkTZuMxaLciiTGhqEIOsYZtOXCNr7YQTC05lz_vPv4_jABDfn8oJ2giVQ_04s9i77G94gU9ZaprRtLepq-xmeSbo8krD2DNsPoZT0/s113/ACS_0224.JPG"}}],"media$thumbnail":{"xmlns$media":"http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/
"thr$total":{"$t":"0"}}]}});
