During this visit, we didn't go\nto the usual Baguio tourist places. I think the only\ndownside in the location is how steep the streets are. My mother had a hard\ntime walking uphill. But this is Baguio and we don't have a choice.\u003c/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv style\u003d\"font-family: Tahoma; font-size: 9pt; margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\u003c/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv style\u003d\"font-family: Tahoma; font-size: 9pt; margin: 0in; text-align: justify;\"\u003e\nOur departure time in\nVictory Liner Cubao was supposed to be 3AM but it got delayed and we departed\nat around 3:30am. I even saw one of my college friends in the terminal too.\nLOL. We arrived just past 12 and we are soooo hungry. On normal days, we are supposed to arrive before 10am but I guess this is just one of the effects of holy week. I've also noticed that there aren't many tourists this time compared\nto last year. Or maybe we just didn't go to the tourist spots? I'm expecting\nflocks of people but even though taxi drivers say there are a lot of people, it's\nnothing compared to the previous years we went to Baguio. I think maybe because\nother tourist spots are booming nowadays like La Union. I have so many fond memories that consists of Baguio, and this goes way back to when I'm still a kid. I saw how the city evolved and how it has never failed to amaze me even though I've been there for so many times already. As if there's always a reason to go back. I remember strolling around the city with my parents, staying in Teacher's Camp back then, and I remembered how they used to make me eat red rice for the first time. Then there's this YMCA leadership camp I attended when I was in grade 6 and I remembered how happy I am to travel this far without any of my parents accompanying me and how I saw some of my classmates too in my previous school. I don't have a functioning camera back then so I bought a disposable one but I wasn't able to develop the film. Then there came casual year enders with my mother where we would go to Baguio just because of the weather. Unlike me that can go whenever and wherever I want (thanks to my supportive parents for letting me see the world!), he can't travel often because he has a lot of responsibilities to attend to. The cold breeze of the wind, and the fog when we talk. Blame it on our weather here in Manila but the weather in Baguio makes it even more bearable to travel for 4 hours or so just to experience the cold breeze. Be it on summer, or cold 'ber months, there's no perfect day to go as you can always go. But if you would ask me, I prefer to go here on its coldest season because I love how I can wear thick clothing in which I can't wear in Manila's hot weather.\u003c/center\u003e\n\u003ccenter style\u003d\"text-align: justify;\"\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\u003c/center\u003e\n\u003ccenter style\u003d\"text-align: justify;\"\u003e\n\u003c/center\u003e\n\u003ccenter style\u003d\"text-align: justify;\"\u003e\n2. \u003cb\u003eThe Food.\u003c/b\u003e Of course! It's fascinating to see how Baguio is one of the places where you can grab awesome and delish food. It never fails to give out something new and fresh each time I go. There's always something new to try! But of course, there's also the classic ones where you just can't skip this restaurant because you've never been to Baguio if you don't eat one of your meals here. And by this, I mean Cafe by Ruins and Hill Station. Food communities are also now a thing here so you'll never run out of choices. Plus points for the fresh veggies used in preparing the meal too! It's quite refreshing to stay in a place where you would live with the locals (Yes, in case you want to book this place, note that you will be staying with the home owners, AKA, the locals). Plus points for the French rustic vibes! I didn't know this kind of home stay exists in Baguio. Our host, Ms. Chantal made sure all we need is taken care of, and she made sure we feel at home. But without too much effort, we definitely felt at home instantly! The rustic French interiors is so pleasing in the eyes you can have an on the spot photo shoot. Lol! Every time we go to Baguio, we usually stay at Veniz Hotel. Not to mention that most of us are straight from work. And Chantal, being so nice to us, allowed us to check in a little early so we can take a nap before the long day ahead. But! right after seeing the main house, we couldn't take a nap anymore because we're all amazed with the house. it was so uhmm.. instagrammable! There, I said it. \u0026nbsp;And by the way, they also have another place for rent, which is the Le Coq Floral. The boys stayed there because we couldn't all stay in Le Coq Bleu as the main suite is already occupied by the other guests. And yeah, what can you expect in Le Coq Floral if Le Coq Bleu is already amazing? Le Coq Floral is amazing too! It can cater to huge groups of people as it has lots of room. Gates are closed at 10PM, no extensions. I think it is fine for us though because we don't have anything planned for the night. Chantal was also kind enough to let us use the fireplace while we bond over it. Actually, she's very kind to share some of her stories and how her and sir Boi met. Mind you, the breakfast was soooo filling and yummy! We had our strawberry yogurt which is so creamy! I actually wanted to buy for myself but we no longer have time to visit Baguio Dairy Farm. Perfect for dog lovers too as Chantal and Boi have dogs that is roaming around within the house. Though one thing to note too is that since this is inside a residential subdivision, you need to walk for around 1KM to get to the main road for transportation if you don't have your own private vehicle. Well. For me and my father, it's all about the food and the cold weather. We went there the night of 29. Took the night bus from Victory liner Cubao and arrived there at around 3:40 am. Yes, that early! Since we're just staying there for a day, we didn't book any hotel or transient accommodations. We had our breakfast at Pizza Volante since it's the only resto that's open early in the morning around session road. Then we roam around Burnham park and watched different people participate in their zumba seshs. After some morning walk, we found ourselves near the Rizal Park in Baguio and we were lucky enough to see the commemoration of Baguio's local government to Rizal day. The program was just short but nonetheless gave meaning to the celebration. Well, we didn't actually enjoyed Mines View that much since there are a lot of people and it was really crowded. The place is very touristy but sadly, people are throwing their garbage everywhere. Trashes are everywhere as if there's no garbage cans provided and scattered. In general, I guess we still lack discipline as a Filipino. As for good shepherd, most of their products are sold out maybe because of the holiday rush. As usual, the restaurant has a lot of people waiting to be served. So after filling in our stomachs for lunch, we went to the local market because veggies! We all know that vegetables here are fresh and cheap compared to the metro. We came back in Manila at around 2am. I am expecting myself to be tired from all the walking but surprisingly, it's not tiring at all. Maybe because of the weather? Well, one day isn't \u003ci\u003ebitin \u003c/i\u003eat all.
