We headed straight to Singapore Flyer but again, to our dismay, it was close. It feels like the whole area of Marina Bay Sands/Gardens by the Bay doesn't like us! First, it rained on our visit to gardens by the bay.. then when we came back same day at nighttime, it was closed. Merlion statue was also down for maintenance/renovation. And now this? I had an encounter with a NUS graduate and I saw how companies fought for her. I mean, hello? Who among us doesn't have a friend that's already been to SG, right? It's as if it's just a province of the Philippines that Filipinos just come and go. I mean not in an architectural way but the way things are. They are very organized, little to no litter at all in the streets. And you know what I envy the most? Of course, flowers are the main showcase. The place is airconditioned to sustain hundred of flowers that are not available everywhere. Once you enter, you will be greeted with mists all over. The concept is different. You will have to go up using the elevator and from there, the journey starts going down. Most of the flowers located in the area are like tropical flowers. Lol. But, to our luck, it was actually raining hard and the weather's quite not good. It stopped for awhile but before we actually get satisfied with our photos, it rained again. And since we're already tired, we decided to go back to the hostel first and rest for awhile. One of the once I also want to try is the OCBD skyway. It's an elevated pathway inside the Supertree Grove and while there's also an entrance ticket, I believe the view is awesome. Too bad though it was closed because of the rain.\u0026nbsp;\u003c/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class\u003d\"separator\" style\u003d\"clear: both; text-align: justify;\"\u003e\n\u003cbr /\u003e\u003c/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class\u003d\"separator\" style\u003d\"clear: both; text-align: justify;\"\u003e\nWe were up right before 7 then we decided to see the iconic Merlion statue. And guess what?! It was closed for renovation/maintenance. I don't know! It seems like it's national month of renovation in SG. First is the temple we want to see around Little India and now this! And yet again, it was already closed. Lol. Aren't we so lucky? Punggol happened! haha. Actually, our plan for the day was to go to Legoland in Johor Bahru Malaysia. We're having second thoughts because we don't know if it's worth it or what because you know.. we will spend money on the transpo and the ticket not knowing if it is worth it. We did some research and decided to just not go. And upon deliberation (yes, there's kind of small deliberation on our itineraries, haha!), we decided to see Punggol. Actually, I think we are the first tourist/travelers who went there! LOL. It's just that when you search for stuff to do and places to visit in Singapore, Punggol isn't something you see in the list. In fact, you will never see it in any list. We researched on how to go to the waterpark the night before. It didn't took much effort to go there as we didn't have to change MRT lanes. We actually got there on time. We were excited and everything because the only purpose we had was to take good photos and probably observe people. What we didn't expect that will take much effort is looking for this certain\u0026nbsp; (instagrammable) bridge. We took too many photos. Walked, and walked till we can already feel the fatigue kicking in. We already reached the end of the waterway and the bridge was still not yet there! And guess what? We walked 2 stations from our starting point. How's that? It was already around 12 that we got back in MRT. There are art/boutique shops and cool cafes around Haji lane. There are also nice pubs for when you just want an afternoon chill. Actually, I don’t have any plans to visit SG anytime soon as I want to cap off my Southeast Asia travel bucket list there so my original plan is to visit it as the last country in my SEA bucket list. The ticket we got is soo cheap as it is from a piso fair last year and as we all know, cheap tickets mean the travel date is far in the future. A lot of stuff happened and before we knew it, we were booking hotels and attraction tickets. Our hostel is located in Little India so we opt to roam around Little India first. Singapore is a very walkable city so it is very helpful if you have navigation apps such as google maps. Waze is also nice but it is for cars so the route suggested might be longer than usual. It took us some time before we get to the area. Lots of \u003ci\u003e*ligaw moments*\u003c/i\u003e And guess what? The temple was closed for maintenance/renovation. Super lol moment. We actually had a lot of \u003ci\u003eligaw/lol/sabaw\u003c/i\u003e moments in SG that we just laugh if off. The place is decorated with Chinese lanterns, there are a lot ang-paus/angpao and Chinese goodies everywhere. Loud music, stores selling different stuff, people roaming around, plus a very instagrammable place.. that’s how I can describe Singapore's Chinatown, very alive. Most of the blogs I read points Tiong Bahru as the hippie neighborhood. It was a long walk from the MRT. There's this particular street in Tiong Bahru specifically Yong Siak street where shops usually sell artsy stuff. This is also a place of chill cafes (and instagrammable one) and cute mini libraries. The only exception was the one we tried in Makansutra. But the rest, it was all so yummy! I can live there and never get tired of noodles. Downside is, it was just too expensive. Well, what can you expect in the most expensive city to live in?
