This teacher's egocentric selfishness and narcissism should not be surprising: it is a logical conclusion and completely in line with the present generation of the egocentric and entitled 'privileged princesses' who have been raised on man-bashing feminism and 'Grrrl Power'. Altruism is practically unknown and is a lost concept among them. The frightening thing is the kind of 'knowledge' that she would be passing on, as well as her attitudes. I sincerely hope that she NEVER marries or has children so that her poisonous and toxic attitudes aren't passed on. (I would bet that she's been both a fanatical feminist and lifelong Democrat.)
Read Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" to see where attitudes and (so-called) 'knowledge' like this teacher's leads.
