My girl calls it 'the trauma industry'. She says that women's centers and counselling places are all about creating as much perceived trauma as possible. She compared it to the body count in vietnam; it's all about creating new boxes and ticking them, this keeps the funding rolling.
If they can take a girl who got yelled at for blowing $200 on a frilly thing and make her think she was abused, they will do so and they will do so because it is profitable. She will be ticked as an abuse victim box and used to ensure funding. Afterall, A woman's center has to process X amount of tonnes of (preferably abused) living female human matter per year to stay funded.
Ultimately IMO, it's about making sure the middle-aged women who profit most out of the industry never have to find real jobs.
