I really love what you did with the game with the monsters you capture in your book and the abilities you get to choose with that, really cool RPG flavour added there to the original puzzle.
If I'd change 1 thing for a potential 2.0 on the table it's the addition of some analytical tools to reduce the strain on my eyes. I get really bad migraines if I strain my eyes for too long to keep track of all the checked and unchecked boxes and I've found that nonograms katana for reference I can play much much longer before that becomes an issue. I can solve more 60x60's there than I can solve 10x10's in any other nonogram I've played because I can just sketch and draw out a bit of a plan count lengths using the ingame counter and just overall worry less about looking closely rather than analyzing my next move.
Conceptually though, probably the best variation of nonograms I've played so you're definitely onto something here.
