It looks more like a there was a 'rogue' wargame that RAND didn't endorse that got Stillion and Perdue the axe from where I'm standing. Stillion (I own some of his RAND stuff in hardcopy) wrote 'Snakes in the Eagle's Nest' about airbase vulnerability. I can't say I disagree with a lot of what he writes on the topic, but as it concerns the F-35's performance, he hasn't got a clue.
