First, My apologies about no email contact info, but when it was part of my profile, both my email and the comments section were spammed to death.
As to Dorr being 'long in tooth', I wrote "long-in-tooth aviation ‘journalist’" as inference he really should know better than to write the slop he often does because he's been doing it so long. I too am 'long in tooth'. 53 years of crawling on and around aircraft, with only 42 of them 'paid', When I am so long in tooth that I do not take the time to keep up with and understand advancements in my chosen area of interest (a long time away from now: I got my Aeronautics MSc only about 5 years ago), I will not utter much less shout out my ignorance in the public square. The complete 'Fisking', (complete critical dissection and critique) of this 'piece' is well within all standards of "fair use" and absolutely essential to both expose the inadequacies of the article AND to provide an illustration of something I am going to talk about in an upcoming post. BTW: One reason I declined to engage in this thread earlier, is that I wanted to say what I had to say in the upcoming post, versus a comment thread. I will now be putting a small 'teaser' below the original post to emphasize the purpose of treating Dorr's fabulous (as in 'full of fables') articles on the F-35 for what they 'are' (over and above a paycheck for Dorr) than what they pretend to be.
