Yes I am 'connected' to the F-35 program. I am connected to about a dozen programs at any one time that are in turn connected to about all of the aerospace 'primes'. I am a ‘hired gun’ – an Aero Bracero. If you've read my stuff regularly you would have known that already and that a) I have worked and still do on many programs and b) I do not now nor have I ever worked for Lockheed Martin or any of its precursors or subsidiaries. In any case, so what? (Don’t worry it’s a rhetorical question - you've used up your chances here per my comment guidelines by not making any material argument.)
Any argumentation that I or anyone else argue for the F-35 because they are connected to same would be a fallacious Circumstantial Ad Hominem. I argue data and the facts. Which brings me to your erroneous accusation that I make ‘personal attacks’. A personal attack is an Ad Hominum (‘to the man’) argument, fallacious only when the facts do not support the attack.
HAte to break itto you sunshine but I made no ‘personal’ attack on Mr. Dorr. I exposed his false assertions, poor reasoning and outré grandstanding for what they were. I provided supported counter argumentation to debunk same. The only references to Dorr as a person vs his actions/behaviors and his reasoning/assertions in my original post were exactly three:
1.….long-in-tooth aviation ‘journalist’ and ersatz ‘historian’ 2.…..If Dorr and his fellow rant-boys (implication Dorr is a Rant-boy)….
3.…..‘Pop Historians’ like Dorr (or worse, as professional post-modern revisionist historians do) is that they tend to glom on to anything that supports their narrative and nothing that doesn’t.
The second of three is a really reference to behaviors, vs. essence, but in any case all three statements were supported in my post.
Then you go all ‘naptime stompyfoot’? Closing out with a couple of flaccid attempts to rile me? LOL. Here’s some clues for you johnnie boy.
a. I blog only semi-anonymously. It’s no secret who I am, but I see no need to let everyone know who I am either. It’s not important, and it’s more important the ideas get seen. So the F*** what? My company and clients are OK with it as long as I keep it that way. This blog isn’t for you, it’s started out just for me and my far-flung friends. I don’t care if I get one hit or a thousand on a post, but I do enjoy most reader exchanges and am happy they enjoy the posts. It’s biggest value to me is as a timesaver: getting the information down so I can just reference a post every time some idiot rolls out the poorly-reasoned inanity
b. Heh, ‘stones’. Really? What are you? 12? 13? Sorry, I don’t beat on children. Buh-bye.
