SMSgt Mac,

Ive been a reader of your blog for about the last two years and I just wanted to tell you thank you and that I think you do an awesome job with this.

I am currently in pilot training for the US Air Force, and my goal at the end of all of this is to fly the F-35. About two years ago when I was still in college I kept hearing and seeing all of these articles about the F-35 and how bad it was and what a disaster it was going to become. Those articles really rubbed me the wrong way because 1) I wanted to some day fly it and 2) they all seemed very opinionated and lacking substantial facts. So I went on a google search to find someone who looked at the F-35 in a purely logical manner and had to hidden motives to tearing the program down. Thankfully I stumbled upon your blog here and I have not been disappointed since.

Thank you for breaking down all the myths and BS that people have tried to throw out about the F-35. It is relieving to see someone actually defend the plane and the program with logic. I still get weird looks from classmates sometimes when I tell them I want to fly the F-35. Of course they have all been brainwashed by the rubbish the media has spread about it and it is hard in those 30 seconds of their attention I have to explain to them why it is and will be an awesome platform (an ideas on how to handle that by the way, haha besides saying because its awesome?). Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks, love the blog, it is defiantly part of the reason as to why I want to fly the F-35 someday.
