I was allways a reader of Bill Gunstons books,so, a supersonic stealth fighter with STOVL is a dream come true...but:
-The YF-16 flew for the first time in 1974.
-In 1981(7years later) a team from 388ºTFW won an RAF bombing competition scoring 7831 points out of 8000 possible(a record)beating the Jaguar and the F-111.
-Almost at the same time ,in july 7th 1981 8 F-16(Chel Ha´Avir) destroyed a nuclear reactor in Iraq...
-A year later(8years after 1st flight) over Bekaa they destroyed + or -30 enemy planes with no losses...
The F-35 flew for the first time in 2006...it will be 8 years this year...(not counting the X-35...)
So,something is very wrong with this aircraft...
-Today we have more people,more money,better computers...what is happenig?
