I definitely understand a lot of the negativity towards the F-35 is just negative hype, and I have really enjoyed reading your breakdown. Nevertheless, on the subject of unloading to gain acceleration, doesn't this miss the point? The big deal of the transonic acceleration KPP being whatever it is is not that there is some combat situation where that specific time is important. The big deal is how this compares to aircraft it might meet. So, if the baseline for the F-35 KPP is the F-16C block 50, I think comparing the straight and level performance of the F-16C to the unloaded performance of an F-35A is cheating. Can't the F-16C just unload too?
