Hello,
Declarations of what should be or have transpired without supporting evidence as to why those declarations should carry any weight are dismissed rather easily.
I'm not certain if your statement is due more to your unfamiliarity with:
1) How long it usually takes to field a mature jet aircraft in general (http://elementsofpower.blogspot.com/2014/02/concurrency-and-f-35-cbs-60-minutes-re.html),
or
2) The lack of awareness that to-date all but 3 years of delay (1 year due to LM over-optimism in ramping up manning and 2 years for a capricious DoD decision made between the Technology Demonstration Program and SDD Contract Award that drove the weight reduction redesign) can be laid squarely at the feet of Congress and DoD stretching the program out of irrational fear of the 'Concurrency Bogeyman'(http://elementsofpower.blogspot.com/2012/05/f-35-and-concurrency-steven-bucci-at.html)
Or are one of those individuals referred to by J.R Pierce in his famous statement:
“Novices in mathematics, science, or engineering are forever demanding infallible, universal, mechanical methods for solving problems”
