Yeah, the Mont St-Michel IS definitely a place to visit, especially at dawn and/or dusk.
I've been there three or four times I think, but as I grew up, my vision of the Mont changed drastically.
It's huge and at the same time so confined, but each time mind blowing. Also lately they installed new lightings at the base of the abbaye, they look marvelous.
Oh and you can sign up for walks starting on the shore, that leads you through the bay to the Mont. You have to be guided cause it's a common place known for its quicksands. But it's really worth it.
