The former Catholic BISHOP here never missed an opportunity to condemn gun ownership. He never called for anyone in the gun culture to be KILLED, as far as I know, at least not in so many words. But making it tougher for us to have them IS putting us at risk.
His office was just a couple of blocks from a police headquarters, so I guess HE didn't see the need for guns.
He also thought the governments of Russia and China wanted to be our friend, so there shouldn't be militaries either.
