I know, let's get rid of the NFR! and all associated laws. If such a miracle ever happened, I wonder which states would treat machine guns the same as all other guns? I believe there is some case law on this. In Florida, for example I think it has been settled that the state can not register them or ban possession. And also which states have just not bothered to ban them because of federal bans.
