Well, he's right. He's not a militia leader; he's a sheriff. That means he and his deputies, whether paid or volunteer, are the parish equivalent of a standing army. An army that will turn out to be the enemy of the people. He'll try to confiscate guns, in spite of the law against such, but this time, Louisianans will remember, and fight back (I hope.)
Mighty proud of that machine gun, ain't he? Does he really mean to threaten people with it when there are so many hunters with good rifles and decent marksmanship skills? One hunter with a sniper's mindset will take him right out.
