Number one, Floyd's "Friend and key witness" was his dealer, and was a prosecution witness (go figure). If Chauvin gets exonerated because it was the dealer's drugs that killed Floyd, he's up for Murder 2. His decision to clam up now certainly makes the prosecution look bad.
Number two, why would you kneel on a proned out and handcuffed man's neck? Because that is exactly how the City trained you.
