I think what this proves is that no matter how much Bloomberg money is funneled into these projects, his “grassroots” groups still can’t buy a dark-side lawyer competent enough to write legislation that doesn’t have stunning and apparent flaws in it. Remember the Nevada instant check initiative that passed, then was found to be totally moot? Maybe this is the silver lining of the populatiry of grievance studies majors — when they go on to get law degrees, they don’t fare well against lawyers who can actually think straight.
