There are those in America who feel that a permanent Democratic majority, inevitably leading to a de facto one party state, would be a good thing. And, in their minds, anything leading to that end would also be a good thing. "The ends justify the means" and so forth.
I believe, once upon a time, someone referred to them as "useful fools".
