I can believe Hollywood is that stupid. They never have had a close relationship with reality. However, I find it hard to understand that the cops who don't think you and I should be armed, will break the law by supplying arms to these (some of them) prohibited persons.
Where the fuck is Bloomberg, now? Or the BATF***Everybody?
