My wife is a high school math teacher & had her purse stolen by gang bangers in the classroom. They promptly used her credit cards, stole the cash & jewelry in it. Bottom line the cops cought them & prosecuted, but they had our address. As the school year progressed she got slammed against the lockers in the hall one day & was told we are going to get you.
The very next day we went & bought a police model 12 gauge shotgun some double ott buckshot. Called a cop friend over to teach us how to use it & it sits next to our bed loaded to this day. She went back to school & let it be known very quietly we were armed. To this day nothing has happened but thank god we have the right to protect ourselves. Mike
