Segarra always loved the money and the caviar, he couldn't care less about the city.

Segarra is very efficient, why waste any time with all those shootings and killings. He still collects his $150+K a year if he goes there or not. During the campaign, well, that was different. He got free air time, telling the media how hard he worked and that he even went to the White House, you know, a day trip, to discuss crime. Remember that upon his return from DC he became an expect about crime. Maybe he became an expert of how to get MORE crime. Time to go Pedro. Face an FBI investigation and go.

Congradulations on removing ONE dangerous person (Segarra) from Hartford,,,Here's your REAL problem, what are you going to do about the hundreds of people who are just as, if not more, destructive than Pedro? I'm talking about the gun toting drug dealers, the murderous gangbangers, the mentally ill walking the streets, the "high"and drunks walking the streets, the homeless, the reckless-uninsured-unregistered-unlicensed-under the influence drivers tearing around our streets, the quads and dirt bikes, the owners of blighted properties, the people who "spit out" babies and expect others to raise and pay for them, the public works dept that cant even manage 3 inches of snow, the police dept that is more reactive than proactive, the unfixable fire dept, OK OK I'LL STOP !!! Kevin, the most Bronin could do with all this is make a dent and sadly in the end it wont be noticeable!

At 11:03 PM: We the people of Hartford must also recognize Pedro Caviar for his great hair all along the campaign, after every shooting, after every killing, during the day and during the night, every single day. After all, Pedro's great hair design contributed to his mayoral (non)performance.

Did Pedro bring in the same nearly nude male dancers for his Christmas Party like he did for his Gay Pride party in City Hall. The same dancers that had their pictures taken, scantily clad cavorting on the Council dais? If Ken Kennedy only knew what went on in front of his microphone and his chair.

With the New Year approaching it is a goodbye to Pedro and his administration. There is no one to blame but the voters who elected him. The effect of his time in office will take time to clean up. Hartford voters keep up with the politics in your neighborhoods. Make all new leaders accountable on every move they make. Hopefully, the new politicians will take heed of doing the right thing so Hartford has a fighting chance to revive. Time will tell if spending 1 million dollars to get elected will save the capitol city.

No, not everything that happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Especially when the Vegas trip is funded with City money and the names of those travelling are public information. It might be a little more work to name the person that met them there, but your tips have been solid so far and I am pretty confident I'll get to it
Thank you

Hartford's outgoing Mayor, Pedro Segarra "I am ready for my close up"
And the Oscar goes to Pedro Segarra for playing the best supporting role of a caring Mayor during a Campaign.
Everyday I realize that the voters in Hartford made the right chose in ushering in a change in the Mayor's Office and showing Pedro Segarra the door.
Segarra did do a good acting job during a tough fought campaign, but fortunately the majority of Hartford voters showing up at the polls on election day realized that, and voted for change.
Can you remember before the election? Pedro Segarra was at every fire, every shooting, every homicide. His incessant tweets about his love for the City and its people would have been annoying if you didn't see the comedy aspect of his act.
It became almost a nightly occurrence on the news, Segarra parading in front of the television cameras playing the caring shepherd comforting his flock of wayward sheep as he travelled around a troubled City.
But , alas, all good things must come to an end. ( I guess the phony bad things also) Since 8:00PM on election day, no more tweets, nor more 11:00PM comforting news shots, nothing. Did Segarra flick the switch off on his love for the City or did his twitter account get shut down after the election? Hartford has had plenty of shootings and homicides since election day, sot it is not for a lack of grandstanding opportunities.
I think poor Pedro was aware that his "acting" career as well as his political career was over. Time to call it a day and move on. The old saying "may the best man win" came true and we now realize we made the right choice.
