Kevin, It looks like Teofilo Ortiz and Delia Rodriguez, who stated their residence as 760 Prospect Ave., donated a chunk of money to the Segarra campaign. Are these new tenants at 760 Prospect Ave.? We have to find out if there aren't too many people, too many families living there, they might be breaking Segarra's zoning laws.

Believe it or not: Jalmar DeDios, the mayor's scheduler or whatever he does, "I've trained in art since the age of 8" (that's HIS statement) donated to Segarra reelection attempt/campaign. DeDios stated his occupation, I repeat, his OCCUPATION, as "MAYOR'S OFFICE." Your occupation, not where you work, what's your job, you idiot.

one retired person, MARTITA RODRIGUEZ is her name, donated hundreds of $$$ to Pedro, but stated that her RESIDENCE is ... a post office box (POBox 261134) at the post office in Washington St. A nice donation from a retired person who lives inside a post office box. Or maybe they just wanted to mislead us.

Patricia Ramalho, an employee with the Hartford Courant, donated a whole $1,000 to Segarra's campaign. I guess she didn't find out that the Courant, after careful evaluation, decided to endorse Luke Bronin for Mayor!

Douglas Palmer of Douglas Palmer & Associates from New Jersey gave Pedro's campaign $1,000.00, the maximum allowed by law. Douglas Palmer says that he is not doing business with the City of Hartford, but I suggest this should be verified somehow. Hey, Pedro, we want an honest campaign, don't we?

Retired Hartford Fire Chief, Edward Casares of Roger St., donated to his former boss campaign $750 on 8/20, for a total of $1,000. Casares who has a lot of responsibility - together with current chief Huertas - to the miserably failed fire department after so many years as chief. Trying to save your face Casares. Shame.

why is it that Bronin's filings show numerous tax payments both to the State and the IRS, but none at all from the Segarra campaign. Is Segarra a tax cheat as well as a lousy Mayor? And what about the unemployment taxes required for all those consultants and "payroll" expenses. Hopefully "Team Segarra" will all need the unemployment benefits after Wednesday"primary

Pedro can't raise any more ,he's tapped out his donors . Kind of sad for an incunbent, especially the amount he spent on. Consultants he hired to try to show him how to do his job after five years

When the moment arrives for Segarra to throw in more money, he'll file, once again, for bankruptcy protection. How did he say in his last bankruptcy, that he had $200 on hand... True, Pedro Segarra is one big cheat.

There are a few questionable donations to Segarra that his campaign is not familiar with those individuals. The campaign added "information requested" but made sure to announce that they don't do business with the city. Bizzare, to say the least, and messy campaign.

You guys are beating on a dead horse. Let it go and just vote Wednesday. The mayor, after a resounding loss, should take a dignified approach and not run in November.
But I still can hear Rep Gonzales say in her perfect Queen's English, "We gonna take it to the streets." Yep, you sure be.

After observing the mayor at a few public events, I sense that he feels totally defeated and knows the outcome of Wednesday's primary. Hard to not know. We will see on Wed evening if he has an one of dignity and bows out of November. If he doesn't it will show how much of a loser he is. And I don't care about any of his private matters like hustling for sex. Leave that out of the discussion. Let's limit this to discussion of poor stewardship of the office.
I will bet anyone 10 to 1 odds that he loses in a landslide.

Campaign filings were due this week for the Hartford Mayoral Primary taking place next Wednesday. Endorsed Democratic candidate Luke Bronin was very busy, both in campaigning and fundraising. Lukes campaign submitted over 260 pages of activity, documenting almost $260,000 in donations
The Segarra campaign submitted paperwork for the same period documenting a little over $50,000 . Segarra also showed that apparently he is running his campaign the same way he is running City Hall...at a deficit. Segarra apparently had to loan his campaign $19,000 to cover his fundraising shortfalls.
And to those who will start grabbing these documents to post elsewhere, please remember to credit where you took them from .
And a special thanks and recognition to the Office of Hartford's City Clerk, specifically City Clerk John Bazzano and Eric Lusa for your assistance. Transparency and openness for public documents is alive and well there.
