Lt Kessler takes command November 2019 and will solve all the problems of decent society in the Northend neighborhoods of the city. Only he can use that distinguished verbal judo he has mastered over the years. Good for you steve. I will put an extra phone book in unit # 45.

So what exactly is considered a juvenile here in a legal sense? Is it 13 to 17? 15 is the age of consent in CT. If he helped her apply for a job, I would have to assume that she is 15 or older. The optics look horrible here, but the officer may have done nothing illegal. Perhaps he should consider chemical castration or a half dose of it to reduce his libido. With him doing desk duty, he won't need so much machismo.

15 is not the age of consent!! 16 is!. If this female was 15 when he had sex with her he should be fired immediately. Not next week, not next month. Now! Arrested and fired, period. If he is not smart enough to not mess around with some little ho while he is married with kids, he does not deserve to wear a badge and gun.

15 is the age of consent for what? It certainly isn’t legal for a 15 year old to consent to sexual relations with a person 18 or older. And he did a lot illegal, inappropriate and unbecoming of an officer, period full stop. Joven Gonzalez is the Jeffrey Epstein of HPD. Keep it classy HPD.

Joven Gonzalez is the prime example of lowering hiring standards and pushing for minority hiring to “reflect” the community. Go back to hiring the best regardless of race or gender and this won’t happen. The standards at HPD have been seriously compromised.

16 is legal age to give consent or 18 if the adult has a position of authority over the juvenile. Sounds like he admitted to committing statutory rape. Also if she was under 16 he was allowing someone unlicensed to drive his vehicle.

Once again, the bottom feeders at the miserably failing Hartford Courant poached your story once again and quoted from the BPD report YOU obtained! And of course no credit to Mr. Brookman.

It won't end...allow cadets to remain cadets until their 23yo, no shaving of their heads anymore, lower the Cooper's Test standards, extend and re-extend the FTO periods, make 60 a passing score, curve the scores then curve them again. U get the picture.
