Concur do not reapply. If the district wants teachers to teach they should assign them to do that. Not make them prove loyalty to inexperienced principals whom appear incapable of basic leadership skills

Mr. Brookman;
Pertaining to the comments, I'd like to think that most of us that follow your Blog ignore the, for lack of a better description, "Poo-Slinging" that is posted here.

Perhaps you should stop letting people comment anonymously, and have everyone get an account (If that's the correct term) like I and several others do.

OTOH, I sometimes find the comments & retorts amusing.
Sort of like listening to a bunch of Junior High girls going at it.

They are actually trying to racially re-configure the teaching staff at HPHS and WHS to decrease the Caucasian number of teachers in those buildings. DO NOT REAPPLY. It is a farce you should refuse to take any part in.

RB,

The anonymity granted here will allow the truth the come out. Rest assured that employees of the HBOE would be harassed and intimidated by the central office if their identity could be discerned. The tragic condition of the HPS has been caused by the cabal of incompetence of those delivering edicts and meting out punishment for those who fail to comply. Just look at the amount of payroll that has no connection to the classroom listed in the previous blogs.

I agree there can be fecal matter tossed about, but the light that this forum brings to the plight of the school system is worth it.

Too bad the lurking members of the media have not picked up on this information. It would help to purge the cancer that it is in the Office of Talent Management and through the ranks of administration.

Ridiculous story from Torres in Hartford current. The other day restorative justice is NOT happening students offenses are NOT being addressed via restorative justice principals they are just ignored. FOIA how many restorative justice interventions have taken place and you will hear crickets. It is not happening ask how many administrators discussed negative student behavior with students... Not happening... Administration solution is to say restorative justice buzz words but do nothing

Restorative justice gives victims the chance to meet or communicate with their offender to explain the real impact of the crime - it empowers victims by giving them a voice. It also holds offenders to account for what they have done and helps them to take responsibility and make amends. Above description is not what is happening in Hartford not even close the district is saying one thing but I'll say again administration is doing nothing but ignoring the dangerous bad behavior negatively impacting the many students trying their best to be reasonable educated. Ask the students restorative justice is NOT happening.
