Two questions:

1) If it's a gay bill... how come it doesn't cover gays? They're already covered in other legislation, and have been for years.

2) As for "one gay bill per session" - what on Earth gives anyone the idea that this will get past Senator Miller next session, or indeed, any session after that?

Quinnipiac University Polling Institute: March 28, 2012 - Women Favor Obama In Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Quinnipiac University Swing State Poll Finds; Economy, Health Care Top Voter Concerns

"FLORIDA: Obama 49 - Romney 42; Obama 50 - Santorum 37

OHIO: Obama 47 - Romney 41; Obama 47 - Santorum 40

PENNSYLVANIA: Obama 45 - Romney 42; Obama 48 - Santorum 41

In his best showing in this election cycle, President Barack Obama pulls away from former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Pennsylvania U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum in two critical swing states, while a third state remains too close to call, according to today's Quinnipiac University Swing State Poll of Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Women back the president over Romney or Santorum by 6 to 19 percentage points in the three states, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University poll finds. Most matchups among men are too close to call. Voters in these states are much more concerned with the economy and health care than they are with social issues and women's reproductive health.

Matching Obama against either Romney or Santorum in each of these key states - no one has won the White House since 1960 without carrying at least two of them - shows:

-Florida: Obama tops Romney 49 - 42 percent; Obama beats Santorum 50 - 37 percent.
-Ohio: Obama over Romney 47 - 41 percent; Obama leads Santorum 47 - 40 percent.
-Pennsylvania: Obama edges Romney 45 - 42 percent; Obama tops Santorum 48 - 41 percent.

"President Barack Obama is on a roll in the key swing states. If the election were today, he would carry at least two states. And if history repeats itself, that means he would be re- elected," said Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute..."

you idiot

the general election hasn't even begun

right now, the Republicans are attacking each other

it won't last

and then, America will have one question for Sir Barry Obama

what are your plans after you win election and can be more "flexible"?

it won't be pretty

btw, Quinnipiac conducts polls of all registered voters not those likely to vote

there is good reason to believe that millions who registered last time because of the historic election with a chance to elect the first black President, will revert to their usual pattern

especially since Obama has alienated most of his natural constituencies

and how about the quote from 2008 that is going around where Obama said the President should be held accountable for high gas prices?

for the third straight year, Obama can't find any legislator that supports his budget proposals

not even the damn, dumb Dems are that unplugged:

"The House on Wednesday night unanimously rejected a budget proposal based on President Obama's 2013 budget plan, dispatching it in a 0-414 rout."

And yet RCP polling averages show Obama gaining in his lead over every GOP candidate except Ron Paul and his less than 100 delegates.

Last week, RCP poll averages were:

Obama beats Romney by an average of 4.9%

Obama beats Santorum by an average of 8.3%

Obama beats Gingrich by an average of 13.0%

Obama beats Paul by an average of 8.0%

This week, RCP poll averages are:

Obama beats Romney by an average of 5.4%

Obama beats Santorum by an average of 8.4%

Obama beats Gingrich by an average of 13.6%

Obama beats Paul by an average of 7.5%

"The House on Wednesday night unanimously rejected an alternative budget proposal based on President Obama's 2013 budget plan, dispatching it in a 0-414 rout."

No stoop is too low for Vigilance's shower nut commenter apparently.

The Hill reports

The House on Wednesday night unanimously rejected an alternative budget proposal based on President Obama's 2013 budget plan, dispatching it in a 0-414 rout.

The vote came just hours after the White House cast the pending vote as a political "gimmick," an apparent attempt to downplay what many expected to be an ugly-looking vote for the White House.

White House officials said Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-S.C.), the sponsor of the alternative, was using Obama's top-line spending and revenue numbers as a budget proposal, without any specifics. On the House floor, Budget Committee Ranking Member Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) agreed that Mulvaney's amendment was not, in fact, Obama's entire budget proposal.

"This is politics at its absolute worst: presenting something as the President's budget without the policy detail, without the explanation to the American people about what's in the President's budget," he said. "And as a result, he presents a very misleading version of what the President has asked us to do."...

well, when will Barry tell us what he's planning after the election, when he can be flexible?

why can't he even devise a budget?

I think he might be incompetent

"Oops!"

Obama only beats Ron Paul by 7 points?

oops is right

So let's see. If Bush's 2004, three million, 50.7% to 48.3% win over Kerry was a mandate, then Obama beating a competitor by 7 percentage points would be an even bigger blowout or landslide victory for him than his 6 percentage point win over McCain in 2008 was.

we're talking Ron Paul here

a certified nut case and 42% of Americans would rather see him as President than Obama

this speaks volumes

next year at this time, Barry will be setting rating records on Dancing with the Stars

his schedule will have more flexibility then

how do you guys justify the senate not passing a budget for 1000 days ?

do you ?

I mean it shuts the whole process down, I believe.

the house passes one.
the president suggests one.
the senate is supposed to pass one so that the negotation between the house and senate can began...

but for 3 years, the senate hasn't....

so we just keep on spending with not budget ? Hope is not a method, I thought.

Effects of the GOP war on women:

Boosted by strong performance among women, Democratic Sens. Bill Nelson (Fla.) and Sherrod Brown (Ohio) led their GOP challengers in two Quinnipiac University Polls released today.

In horserace matchups, Nelson led GOP frontrunner Rep. Connie Mack IV 44 percent to 36 percent while Brown led GOP nominee Josh Mandel, the state treasurer, 46 percent to 36 percent.

Nelson, seeking his third term representing the Sunshine State, will face the winner of a nasty primary between Mack and former Sen. George LeMieux (R). An earlier Quinnipiac University poll from January found the race between Nelson and Mack a dead heat. In this month’s poll, Nelson tied Mack among men, 41 percent to 41 percent, but led among women, 46 percent to 32 percent.

Among men, Brown was in a dead heat with Mandel, 43 percent to 42 percent. But among women, Brown led by a whopping 17 points, 48 percent to 31 percent.

Poll shows economy, women voters boost Barack Obama over Mitt Romney in Florida

A new poll of must-win swing states shows President Obama is surging and the GOP brand is getting tarnished. Gov. Rick Scott remains highly unpopular in Florida.

April Fools' Day

a day when the world stops to remember fools

"MOSCOW- Russian lawmakers introduced a bill this week that would punish "homosexual propaganda" directed at minors. This comes on the heels of the recent adoption of similar legislation in St. Petersburg, the second-largest city in the country, that makes " homosexual and pedophile propaganda" punishable by fine, up to $17,000."
