Wonderful news! The voice and will of the majority of Montgomery County citizens has been exercised! One has to wonder, however, what the next target for hatred and bigotry is going to be for CRC and others of their ilk. Perhaps they will change their course of action to advocate for the Flat Earth Society or "creationist science" in order to "Protect our Children"?

CRC hasn't had much luck lately. They should just stay down after this so they will not embarrass themselves anymore. Perhaps now they have learned that they are in the minority here in good old Montgomery County, and that most people think they are a joke. As one of the students being “protected” I’d really wish they would lay off…forever.

This is great news.

Now my students can be protected with the law rightfully on their side. CRC and PFOX are recognized for their ignorance and hate once again...it's about time that these freaks just gave it up.

Now that the game is over and TTFers doesn't have to lie anymore, tell us how this bill will protect students. I thought it was focused on employment and the rental market.

Andrea- not anon
We are all sure here that the liars are N. Anon and his sad little CRC friends. Bigotry and hatred doesn't win out in this Montgomery County! Now N. Anon- go away for good!

tell us how this bill will protect students

The unanimous decision of the County Council means transgender students now know that once they graduate from MCPS, they will be able to live and work here in Montgomery County without being discriminated against in housing and employment. Every graduate deserves an equal chance to work and live and now transgender students know they will have the same chance as everyone else right here.

I am especially proud to live in Montgomery County today. Thank you County Council for standing up to hate, fear, and bigotry!

"We are all sure here that the liars"

Everything TTF says is a lie, Andreary. From the innateness of homosexuality to the track record of condom education to the safety of anal sex. The latest lie is that everyone in Montgomery County, outside of a handful of people, support special protections for transgenders. If so, why is any special protection by the government needed?
