和Yahoo! Video Search比起来，Blinkx的视频音频搜索更加强劲，它使用了语音识别技术来检索多媒体文件。也就是说，你可以搜索任何一个在视频或者音频文件中曾经提及的单词。HP的Speechbot也提供了类似的技术。另外，Blinkx的多媒体搜索寻找了Fox News、NPR、ESPN以及BBC作为其合作伙伴，所以将提供丰富的新闻类音视频文件资源。
