Isn't funny how when the conservatives want something like conservative appeal judges or some piece of social conservative legislation the mear whisper of "filibuster" would stop it dead in its tracks.

When its the otherway round, suddenly its no problemo.

I can remember when every attack on "Busing" was stopped by Metzabaum and Kennedy by merely threatening to filibuster.

Just like "bi-partisanship" its always the Repubs abandoning their base help Ted Kennedy or Russ Feingold.

The GOP only cares about Corporate America and Corporate America only cares about keeping wages as low as possible. The fact that the immigration amnesty will hurt America in the long run is irrelevant to the CEOs because, by that time, they will be retired and will have their millions and billions of dollars to protect them from the social problems caused by immigration.
