Huh? One night, he takes a lethal dose of an over-the-counter medication, then hops in his Cadillac Escalade to drive to a lumber yard to die. With his girlfriend. Or does he meet her there? Oh well, I'm sure the Chicago cops will have this one wrapped up real soon. Expect their report to be released on a Friday night

The lethal dose for aspirin is 500 mg/kg of body weight. Each tablet is what, 200mg?

75kg * 500 mg/kg / 200mg per tablet means that this guy munched down more than 175 tablets (assuming he only weights 165 lbs). All that for a 2% (the fatality rate for acute aspirin overdose) chance of killing himself?

I'll bet.

This should have some national publicity in the right-wing media. It will not be as easy as the Chicagoans are accustmed to, as sweeping this up tends to depend on a complacent and disinterested public that accepts this sort of political murder as par for the course.

"unseemly," maybe, but in these latter days of the Empire, appropriate.

Is "Apparent Suicide" an official cause of death as distinct from "Suicide"?

I wonder how Tony Rezko is doing these days. Anyone seen him in the joint? Does he look nervous?

You lived in Chicago for 18 years and all you noticed was that the politicianns are corrupt? That would be like if I lived in California and all I noticed was the smog and the traffic. Can't you ever have a nice word for Chicago? Csn any Californian?

I seriously doubt that Blagojevich has the friends or resources to arrange this "suicide" but his, ah, successor in the House surely does.
