No, all I have to do is read about what Philip Chism, who could have been Obama's son and looks like a young Obama, did to that Nice White Lady teacher in New England.

In case you wanted to see what Justin Peters looks like. He's the one with the glasses.

Meanwhile, the racial profiling of victims in the knockout game goes on unimpeded.

It must be nice, when you have been punched, to learn that your senses tricked you to believe an urban myth.

Moreover, the racial profiling extends further; only a selected few will be deemed victims and have their aggressors punished.

Mr Sailer,

I don't think there are too many "journalists" writing for the media outlets you mention. In any case, Mr Peters does not appear to be one of those few.

The Wikipedia page for Miami Gardens, FL makes interesting reading.

No Steve. It WON'T be 'extremely confusing' for journalists.

On the contrary, it will be manna from heaven and 'pigs rolling in sh*t' time for journalists, (well at least 99% of them working for the 'conventional' US press). A new orgiastic golden age beckons in which every 'journalist' cna make himself into a new tin-pot little Atticus Finch - together with glasses to prove it.

You see Steve, the entire narrative of American domestic 'journalism' since at least 1950 has been 'whitey hating on black' - don't you think that under the new settlement ie blacks and browns becoming dominant - that there will be countless more opportunities to push this narrative? Counter-intuitive I know, but think about it - more blacks and browns = more stories about blacks and browns (ie god forsaken victims), whites, in so much as the mean anything to 'journalists' will serve the role as devils and haters of the victims.

Simples.

Some questions cry out to be asked:

1. When the employee says "but I work here," why is he still arrested?

2. Presumably, many of the arresting cops already know the guy works there (because they have arrested him before). So why do they arrest him again?

3. Why does the employee continue to work there?

4. Why don't the newshounds ask these questions?

There has to be more to this story.

You don't have to be a majority to be an oppressor. There are secret conspiracies, promoting the ingroup to the disfavor of outsiders, spoils from post majority status.

Examples: Chinese in Milasia, Wasps in America, Japanese in Canada, counterrevolutionaries (wreckers) in the USSR, Jews in Germany.

Since everyone would be the same if things were fair, merely doing better than other groups, in business profits or staying out of jail or anything, is evidence of unfairness. Doing better in sports is of course natural ability and determination.

When I saw the name "Saleh" I guessed Middle-Eastern or Horn-of-Africa immigrant. The picture you post leads me to believe my guess is probably correct.

So we have a non-Black convenience store owner and his customers being hassled by (most-likely) Black police who claim that his store is a focal point for neighborhood criminal activity within an essentially Black city. The store owner claims harrasment, perhaps to drive him out of competing with a city politician's nearby store.

The reporter's description of a store worker as "Black" becomes suspect. It's just as likely, if not more likely, that he's probably a non-Black relative of the (probably) non-Black owner.

We know from a large array of evidence that Black-run political units in this country have much higher rates of corruption than other communities. My personal observations suggest that generally-speaking minority politicians tend to be more corrupt than white. I have been a professional analayst of criminal jusrtice policy off and on for many years and it is well-known in the field that corruption among minority law enforcement officers is a pe3rvasive and serious problem in this country. No one dares to study this problem or even discuss it except in private and off-the-record so it's hard to know all the details or ramifications.

But putting all this together, this reporter could have done an insightful analysis of what's really going on here. It's impossible to tell from the lazy, unprofessional pastiche he slapped together. Whether this is due to fear of the consequences of seeing what must not be seen, forwarding a hiddeenm agenda, pure laziness and stupidity, or some combination of the three i8s hard to tell.

The community districts in New York City with the highest homicide rates are those for Bedford-Stuyvesant and Ocean Hill Brownsville. IIRC, the homicide rates for these two sections of Brooklyn has for a decade bounced around 22 per 100,000. These districts have a population of 238,000 in a city which has a population of 8 million in a metropolis with a population of 18 million. The city-wide homicide rates in Rochester and Buffalo are 19 per 100,000 and 20 per 100,000, respectively. Roughly 30% of the metropolitan population of these two loci lives in the central city.

Mr. Bratton's methods seem to work well in slum neighborhoods.

Strange that Vox would sympathize with Tom Kratman's real politik firm hand approach to chaotic Third World countries, yet turn bleeding heart liberal when it comes to Miami Gardens.

When I lived in a ghetto area in Milwaukee and the police were forced to start recording the race of everyone they talked to, several of us white guys made it clear to the local precinct officers that we would welcome being stopped for questioning at any time if it would help boost their (white) racial statistics and thereby keep the liberals off their backs.

We put "I support the local police"-type stickers in our car windows and on our front house windows to show our willingness.

When you live in a NAM-nightmare neighborhood, you do what you have to do. Vox just doesn't get it. One cannot always move to a nice, safe, white neighborhood (or country, like Vox did, God bless him).

Today I have three thoughts as I read about 'racial knockouts'.

First is the "Irish Interval'. In 1965 Patrick Moynihan wrote 'The Negro Family' pointing out the problems with - of all things - the negro family. The popular press chose to ignore the warnings of this Irish academic for a while. Then this year - 53 years later - the Irish media star Bill O'Reilly - began to mention the problems with the black family on his news show.

The Irish Interval is therefore 53 years. Jefferson expected the Senate to be the 'saucer in which political passions were cooled'. That changed this week. Apparently Harry Reid noticed the Irish Interval and decided that passions were already cool enough.

Secondly the Founding Fathers all knew a lot about Roman History. They didn't focus on the Fall of the Roman Empire, they were more concerned with the Fall of the Roman Republic.

Rome went on for centuries after Caesar destroyed the Republic but Romans were under an absolutist government thereafter. Murray (another Irish academic) also thinks that was an important event.

That's why we might look for events in Roman History that presaged that fall. As it happens the Milo-Clodius street riots look a lot like the recent 'flash mobs' and 'knockout games'.

Most commenters are wrong. These two types of events are quite easy to stop. It's just that you have to stamp down hard on civil rights to do so. There were no such problems in Stalinist Russia.

Or thirdly we could rescind the restrictions on concealed carry weapons. There was a news story this week about a 'knockout game' victim who had a concealed carry license. He shot the would be knockouter twice. That should work too.

Even signing people up for the expanded Medicaid requires hiring "navigators" (who will also add them to the voting rolls).

This is a real conundrum, that the same people who are OK with the huge dysfunction, so OK with it that they think its cruel to expect parents to send their children to school with a sandwich, think people are going to do something as complicated as buy health insurance.

Or they don't think that and in view of what a mess American society is, single payer is inevitable.

Hey, if a journalist says so, it must be true.

In the real world, the broken windows theory was first instituted by Bill Bratton in NYC during Giuliani I. It drove down the crime rate immensely. Unfortunately Rudy's ego couldn't stand to be eclipsed by Bratton's achievements so out Bratton went. But his successors persisted with broken windows and this resulted in the historic lows in crime seen today.

I've heard that DeBlasio is considering bringing back Bratton. If this happens, we'll continue stop and frisk, just more discreetly.

Al Sharpton has been all over the media lately, screaming about 'shopping while black.' Meanwhile not a word about the anti-Jewish knockouts in Brooklyn.

People just can't get enough of bubblegum fascism or pop fascism, though it's presented as anti-fascist fascism, i.e. a work that luxuriates in fascist spectacle, warrior virtues, and grandiosity while, at the same time, going naughty naughty at 'evil fascism'.

Though some may trace this back to STAR WARS, maybe its real progenitor was TEN COMMANDMENTS where, even though the Egyptians were bad guys, they were magnificent bad guys.

Fascism, even in the form of anti-fascist fascism, won the aesthetic war. Hollywood tries to tame or critique it but cannot help wallowing in it because it has such great appeal at the box office.

Even GRAVITY is like one of those Leni Riefenstahl mountain climbing movies where a lone woman uses all her mythic might to overcome the greatest of odds. In fact, it's like BLUE LIGHT in reverse: climbing down to the Earth.

BATMAN, TRON LEGACY, HUNGER GAMES, SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN, THOR...

THOR was fun. First 30 min, I thought... what head-bashing nonsense and was almost tempted to turn it off. In contrast, in the first few minutes of SNOW WHITE, I couldn't help thinking 'whoever made this is a master'.
Branagh(who did Thor) was never much of a director, especially of action and spectacle; consider the dreadful FRANKENSTEIN.

But when the movie goes into comic mode with Thor swaggering around in the human realm, it is LOL and lots of fun. This is what's missing in BATMAN movies that take themselves SO SERIOUSLY. I mean it's comic book material for Chrissakes. But THOR got the tone just right. It had fun with the material and wasn't any more serious than it needed to be. And I loved the two actresses, Portman the antheaded beauty and the other one who is a born comedienne.

But TWILIGHT beats all.

I know someone who lived in Franco's Spain. He went to the beach late at might with his friends when he was a teenager. A cop saw them and went over to them and took down their names and addresses just in case something happened he would know where to go.

If there was domestic violence, the cops would just pay a visit and have a talk with the guy, no need for courts.

My friend was kind of nostalgic for those days.

It would be interesting to see what Franco would do with this country.

I doubt he would allow all this immigration.

He probably would have been against integration.

We have to have city-states to replace what we have now.

Each city-state will control who gets in and can live there. This means complete discrimination if desired. There could be very restrictive laws against drugs, drinking, gambling etc. Or you could have a Vegas style city-state where everything goes.

The original Herald article puts forth a rational theory for why they kept arresting the same innocent guy (who was of their own race):

Saleh theorizes that it’s an easy way for the department to make it seem like they are making a large number of arrests.

“They have specialized units to combat crime and they need to bring in the numbers to justify those units,’’ Saleh said.

So this is like the Atlanta teachers cheating scandal - brothers and sisters taking a few shortcuts to meet their superior's expectations (probably with superiors who are in on the game - there must be some nice state or federal grant money involved). Or the "Twelve Years a Slave" guy being double crossed at his own "skin game". But it's so much more fun if you blame white "racism" instead.

Right. Because after all, the narrative must have a white bogeyman to blame, even at this late date of 2013. It would seem as if this narrative is getting rather stale after being used for decades on end.

And as previous poster Pat observed, former Senator Moynihan's '65 report catalogued many of these same social ills that were then as now besetting black America at large.

"Miami Gardens is where middle-class blacks fled from Liberty City in the 1970s."

Liberty City was the reasonably well-kempt black neighborhood in Miami up until integration. Admittedly the black leaders had problems with ghetto trash, but it wasn't a massive problem. They had homecoming parades, clean streets, doctors, lawyers, insurance guys and accountants.

But then the black middle class abandoned Liberty City for Miami Gardens and Liberty City became a cesspit.

Then Cousin Pookie and Ray-Ray followed them to Miami Gardens and repeated the pattern. I expect the black middle class is already moving on to another white community and the pattern will repeat itself again, endlessly.

Kudos to the black cops and black government digging in their heels, even if it is a losing battle. I wish, for once, the black middle class would make it an intra black class war and start screaming about the need to crack down on ignorant, violent black trash, but I expect they won't. If they would openly and admittedly "profile" young blacks and shout to high heaven about whites meddling in black affairs when the honkeys start agitating against black-on-black discrimination, we might start to see some change. But I'm not holding my breath.

Technically what Bratton implemented was not Broken Windows but something less subtle. Yes, NYPD ground strength was increased to start arresting more turnstile jumpers and roust the squeegee men. But the key to their success was building dossiers on repeat criminals, which dovetailed with NY State's harsher sentencing (beginning before Giuliani), and going the next step to flow charts and undercover surveillance units; one discovery of the Great Relearning was that criminals tend to associate with other crooks. Thus Bratton was their first moneyball commish and modern Manhattan is, in a sense, the city profiling built.

As the filipina elder-care ladies have discovered, the seculars who are the silent majority of this country are quite tolerant of non-Jews who don't cause trouble. Getting Permanant Residency is not very difficult after 2 years of supporting yourself & staying out of trouble. With PR on your Teudat Zehut, you can apply for membership to a Community Settlement.

PR's ==will== get conscripted into the Home Guard and patrol their own neighborhood with a rifle a few weekends/year. A convenient way way to meet soldier girls, by the way. Just bring some homebaked sweets to a graveyard shift, you will be popular and get introduced to guys' sisters. This is a family-oriented society. Very different from American Jewry. "Who you know" is important here.

150 words of street Hebrew isn't really harder than picking up basic Spanish.

This country has such a actual bad problem with Africans illegals, whites who behave themselves will not be hassled.

The Miami Herald article said that a number of officers in Miami Gardens are white or Hispanic. I think a number of controversial police incidents in Miami involved Hispanic officers (Cuban, Colombian etc.) and black suspects. Race relations in South Florida are fairly complicated. There are whites or "Anglos" (most often Italian or Jewish transplants from the Northeast), Cubans, other Hispanics, African-Americans, Caribbean blacks (mostly Haitians), etc.

Anonymous 11:30 PM,

Do tell (re whites in Ashdod).

@ArtDeco,

"Buy long term care insurance and look into a nursing home with a good institutional culture (which, in most parts of the country, will have a great many blacks on the staff, because that's who does that sort of work)."

Your old blog indicates that you live upstate. Then you should know that upstate most of the staff in an LT care facility will be working class rural whites. I know this from personal experience - a close family member spent her final years in a lovely facility upstate run by Adventists.

Nowadays the support staff will likely have many Hispanics.

Places with no Hispanics, but have a black/white mix, are usually dead, economically. Look up Braddock, PA.

I do agree with you about the lack of problem-solving ability among a lot of Steve readers. Our problems really can be solved, but we have such crap leadership I despair.

No. Half the Upstate population lives in cities. Service personnel in nursing homes therein are disproportionately black, as is the custodial staff of acute care hospitals. I have had relatives in St. John's Home in Rochester. The staff is many hued, but disproportionately black. They know how to screen their hires and nurture them properly to produce the best environment they can manage given the difficult clientele they have. Every different component of the staff contributes to making that institution what it is.

Taking care of the elderly requires a certain disposition and a certain sort of people skills. You find the people who can do it well where you can find them, and you do not worry if they are "NAM"s or not.
