I lament the political direction of the USA. I know some of the problems are caused by Wall Street money going to Congress. I think some of the problems are from dishonesty in our public discourse. I think supporting Steve helps in creating an honest journelism, It is my considered opinion that his analysis is often more honest than what we get from other outlets. So I support Steve, with my pocketbook.

I have made a few chintzy donations, but I only read this blog occasionally and have never made a substantial post.

Obviously, donations of $100 and up would be welcomed, but what would be a reasonable monthly/annual donation for a casual reader to net SS $80K a year?

Also, to SS, instead of an annual drive ala NPR, a continual mildly obtrusive campaign may serve better.

I made another donation to Mr. Sailer this morning, for what it might be worth. As always I would prefer to contribute bigger sums, but being only intermittently employed myself like lots of other people in 2009, my reality falls well short of my wishes.

At least I'm not living in Michigan, where a friend tells me that the jobless rate is now 25%.

x2.

There are alternative voices out there (Steve, VDARE contributors, Takimag contributors), but they have little financial support.

So donate! Sure, it's just shoveling s-t against the inexorable tide of stifling PC idiocy, but at least you can have the mental satisfaction of claiming you opposed it. Steve is widely read, even by the PC elite.
