Faith and begorrah, it's a Powell writin' fer the Times.

PS: the whole point of hiring a lawyer is so that your vengeance conforms with legal norms.

Academia also has a thin blue line. Don't bother to try to whistleblow against professors for research misconduct. At least not without a very good lawyer and the willingness to never work in academia again.

Powell (!) of the Times wrote: “If he’s convicted, no one will ever come forward again,” said Rabbi Cheskel Gold, a member of a rabbinical court in Monsey, N.Y., that gave Mr. Kellner religious permission to investigate Mr. Lebovits. “No one.”

Hunsdon emphasized: "that gave Mr. Kellner religious permission to investigate Mr. Lebovits."

PS: talking about the velvet glove wrapped around the velvet fist in this context is almost certainly anti-Semitic; then again, different strokes for different folks.

Compassionate or triumphant?

"Even today, Alan M. Dershowitz, one of Mr. Lebovits’s lawyers, portrays Mr. Kellner and other prominent whistle-blowers as extortionists. “We see Kellner as a leader of a major extortion ring,” he said in an interview. “He is not a do-gooder.”

"He is not a do-gooder" - could well be said of Dershowitz himself.

The amusing thing is that the LA Mexican single mom knew well enough to hire a lawyer, but the Jewish guy in New York City did not.

You must read http://www.failedmessiah.com. They share all the dirty linen on the various perverts, welfare scammers, liars, cheats and general crooks in the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community both in America and Israel.

They are quite race loyal, however, and non-Jews are not encouraged to comment. [Particularly on the subject of metitza b'peh (sucking blood from baby boy penis after circumcision)]. Very sensitive.

Nonetheless, read, enjoy, learn about Jewish culture, Kelner, the perfidies of Charlie the DA and why you should never, ever, EVER move to Rockland County (they own it, body and soul).

Nowhere else will you get the same ruthless honesty.

I'm pretty sure the comments on failedmessiah.com are anti-semitic.

Say, does The Vaad translate as "The Society for the Promotion of Virtue and the Suppression of Vice"? A friend was wondering.

The odious comment about Dershowitz must have been taken down. I couldn't find it. I did see, though, where one Harvard scholar called Dershowitz a "genious."

I was going to mention failedmessiah myself. It can be informative, but there are loads of painfully clueless true believer anti-racists there. And I don't just mean they know what the score is but strike anti-racist poses the way neocons do (think excrement like Amitai Etzioni); they really seem to believe it.

Reading comprehension time. Keller is not the U.S. DA. He is part of the Hasid community. I presume that once Magnumchevitz P.I. found sufficient evidence, the rabbinical council would then call in the authorities. Yeah, in theory this means victims might not receive justice depending on community internal dynamics. But supposedly this is how these people want to live. It sucks we couldn't drag Jim Henson to the hospital so that he'd still be making kids shows too.
