I really liked this movie, but your right, there is no real way to discuss if without ruining it. The french movies have been great and I have heard that there is another one that tops all of these, Frontiers. I am waiting for it to pop up on downloads or Blockbuster. Now as much as I praise the French films, I would have to say that I thought that Funny Games was right up there.

Look for Frontier

I also got to see a couple of movies on our list, Eden Log and All the Boys Love Mandy Lane. Eden Log I finished on sunday, it had a cool story, but I thought it could have used a little more depth. I just started Mandy Lane and fell asleep, I will finish it tonight

I also have 'Them' on my DVR, which is what the movie 'The Strangers' was based on. 'Frontiers' is available on Netflix for rental and for streaming. I'm going to watch it today and I'll let you know what I thought.I think 'Frontiers' was part of the last set of 8 Films to Die For.

Funny Games was good and disturbing as hell. That movie haunted me for a while. The last scene still does.

How was Mandy Lane?

Mandy Lane was the "slasher" movie that the cool teenage kids watch. I am not sure why it didnt make theaters, it probably would have done good. Some brief nudity, gore and a token black kid it your everyday movie. It was a slasher movie and meant for kids, but I think it may have been just a little above their heads.

I added Mandy Lane and Eden Log to Netflix. Eden is available for streaming.......I should have a review later today on Frontiers.

It seems like not much makes theaters besides remakes and sequels.......I think that given a chance, Splinter could have done well. Then maybe if we wanted to see something new and original in horror at the theater, we'd have some options!
